Ryan sighed, eacing back into her chair. Allowing the steam and aroma from her mug of hot chocolate fill the air. It was the only thing that could relax her at this point. The incident which took place between her and her eldest daughter replied in her mind like a scratched record.

She deserved all the scolding in the world. She yelled at her before. But she's never placed a hand on any of her children. It was no secret that she loved both her children and wanted to see them grow up to be well respected adults with loving human husband's and children.

Was she asking for too much. Are was it too little. They deserve the best of what life has to offer, and that's what Ryan wanted to give them.

"You need to stop over thinking" her father said, entering the kitchen with an empty bowl.

"It's not that easy father" Ryan sighed, bringing the hot beverage to her chopstick covered lips. Blowing gently at the beverage that was merely inches away from her lips.

"It is that easy Ryan. She's grown, she can make her own mistakes in life just like you did" her father pointed out, resting the empty bowl in the sink and turned to face the child he taught the importance of life many years ago. She was nothing like his beloved Daisy. Nor was she anything like him. She's changed. Being around humans had that effect on their type.

"The mistakes I've made are unforgivable, father, you know this. What I've done will forever haunt both girls" she told him softly, just the thought of her sinful deeds back then made her regret it all. The only good received from all of that. Was the fact that she has two beautiful little girls.

"You dwell so much on the past that you forget to look to the present. Your daughter is just like him, even if you don't want her to be. She needs to know him, if not for his sake, let it be for her. She needs to be around people like her, to teach her of what she truly is" he explained to her, hoping to get his point across. She knew his words were true. But she couldn't bare to see him again.

All those years she's prayed for her children to be normal. That they'd be human just like her, in hopes god would hear her prayers. Was she not praying hard enough. Did she doom both her children by what she did. Was it right to let them know of him. They've looked up to her husband for so long. How would she explain that he was the one.

"I can't do that, Azaya is a Prince, not a child of the Kenzie family. She's my child, she's of our blood-"

"And also of his" Rita shot back, fully entering the kitchen. "Azaya's future is not in your grasp anymore, Ryan. She doesn't know how to control her powers, and weather you like it are not, she deserves to know who her father is, both the girls do" she exclaimed, shocking Ryan at her outburst. Even though she was the eldest Rita's never risen her voice at anyone of their siblings. Even though she had a short fuse whenever it came to Ryan.
