Dear journal
One mishap was solved out of all the others. Turns out Klaus actually likes me, he only wanted to take it slow. I had no problem with that of course. In other news. I got the day off from school tomorrow, since it was Friday, my aunt thought I should stay home an rest up after my little break down. I had no problem though, I needed a little break. Maybe even try controling whatever this is. I was planning on using the old shed around the back so I wasn't too out in the open. In other news, my parents and my sister was planning on coming to town this Sunday since my great grandfather's death anniversary was coming up. They decided to stay for one week to celebrate. It was a family tradition. Though not all our families gather in one space. But it's always fun. I do miss my great grandfather though."Azaya" my aunt called out, pushing my door open. I smiled once she came into view. "How are you feeling" she asked, cautiously entering my room an talking a seat on my bed.
"Better" I smiled, closing my journal an resting the pen in my pen holder.
"Good" she smiled. I was waiting for her to continue. No way was she going to get out of here without explaining what's up with that school. "I'm guessing you still want to know about the school" she asked. I nod, licking my dry lips. She sighed patting the space on the bed beside her. Standing from my chair, plopping down on the bed beside her.
"Truth be told Azaya, I wasn't the one that built River valley. It was my great grandfather. He too had supernatural abilities. His father Faron Prince found this town many years ago. They built it up from an old broken down town into the beauty you see now. Our great grandfather Lionel Prince built River valley on the grave of his father to honour his memories" she paused, handing me a photo of a man who looked to be in his twenties. He was the man I saw in my dream. He was my great great grandfather.
"Lionel then decided to turn the school and this town into a paradise for all supernatural beings. River valley is here to help young supernatural kids to use their powers and learn that being evil doesn't make you better then anyone, it just makes you the loser. I was brought up to understand the situation and importance of the school, that's why you were sent here Azaya" my eyes widen. Was she saying what I think she's saying.
I'm to be the head master of River valley. I don't even much of a head to start with, so why me.
"I don't get it" I said softly, looking down at my empty palms. Why did it have to be me though.
"It's supposed to be past down to the oldest that hasn't received any supernatural ability" she explains, that's not fair, what if I don't want to. I know it's tradition, but I had plans for my future. "But sadly, it's not you. I know you didn't accidentally lick over your lamp, I heard the pop from downstairs. And the classroom you were in the other day had cameras installed. I saw what happened, plus your eyes were orange when I saw you in the bathroom. I'm not sure why, so i made a few calls. Someone's coming tomorrow to have a word with you on this matter" she explained, so she did know about the classroom, an here I thought I was free from the ass whooping.
"So are you going to send me back" I asked sadly, to be honest. I did want to go back home to Tennessee. But now I'm not so sure. I mean, I've made some good friends here, unlike my old school. Plus Klaus is here, if I left, I'd probably never see him again.
"Of course not, you belong at River valley, where we can teach you control" she smiled, I smiled, surprisingly relieved that I got to stay.
"Thanks aunt Rita" I smiled, but then the question popped up. "If the role of head master isn't for me, then who is it for" I asked, handing her back the photo. The fact that I have a lot of relatives doesn't really help the situation. Aunt Rita's included.
"Heck if I know, that's why he's coming here tomorrow, good night Azaya" she chuckled, taking the photo and left, closing the door behind her. Looking back at my journal, I sighed. Pushing myself up from my bed. Opening my bedroom door, I made my way out to the back yard.
"What are you doing" a voice said, scaring the fudge cake out of me.
"Ahh" I screamed, turning around to see Klaus, leaning against the side of my aunt's house with his hands in his pocket. "don't do that, heart attack is real" I told him in whining tone. Continuing my stroll towards the old shed.
"Really Azaya, what are you doing" he asked again, this time he was standing beside me. Wow he's really using this as an advantage because I know about his abilities. I'll never get tired of it though.
"I wanted to check out my grandfather's old shed, no one's opened it in a while" I told him, trying to push the door open. But to no avail. I'm not sure why but the door was stuck.
"I guess that's why. It's getting late anyways, you should get some sleep, I'll check up on you after school, okay" he smiled, wrapping his arms around me. An pulled me into his warm body. Inhaling deeply, I sighed, his intoxicating scent calming me down immediately. I could feel my eyes getting heavier by the minute.
Is this another power of his. I mean, I wasn't sleepy a minute ago, so why all of a sudden.
"May I go in" he asked, that's one of the downsides of being a vampire. The whole asking to enter gets annoying.
"Yes" I replied sleepily. A gush of wind blew through my hair in one swift move. Soon enough I was being placed under the covers. Yawning as he kissed my temples.
"Sleep my princess, all your questions will be answered soon enough" he said, his voice slowly faded as I drifted off into a deep slumber.
