Demigods: In Paris (a Miraculous Ladybug and Percy Jackson crossover)

Ah yes, stuff happens.

Gabriel knelt by Nathalie as she coughed in an armchair. "Shhh," he tried to soothe her. "Why did you use the peacock miraculous again? You know how dangerous it is!"

"I had to save you," his assistant breathed, clutching at her head. Gabriel leaned back, looking away uncomfortably. Nathalie had been the most devoted and loyal supporter of his cause - sometimes a little too devoted. She was a good friend and an even better helper, but not like that. Especially not when he had already worked so hard to bring Emilie back. 

"Give me the peacock miraculous," Gabriel instructed Nathalie finally. "I'll use it instead."

"No," she shook her head weakly. "It's already taken a toll on me. Don't let it drain you too. I'm strong enough to finish this, once and for all." She slipped her hand into his, and he let her for a count of five. Luckily, before he had to pull away, she had another coughing fit and extracted her own hand to shield her mouth.

"If you're sure you're ready... I may have a plan."

Nathalie smiled up at him. "Of course you do."

Annabeth joined Percy at the snack bar, taking the sandwich from his hands and biting into it. 

"Hey!" He protested, but when she showed no signs of returning the snack, he grumbled and got another one. "So, what's the plan?"

Annabeth sighed, and lowered her voice as she cast a furtive glance at Ladybug. "I don't have one."

"What? But Athena always has-"

"Yeah, well I'm not my mother."

"And thank the gods for that, but surely you have something?"

"Ideas. Thoughts. But no plan. Not yet, anyway." 

"Well, if you need someone to bounce ideas off, your brothers always say the dense ones are best." He winked. Annabeth laughed. She knew perfectly well that her boyfriend was not dense, and he knew that she knew, too. He was bright in his own way. His ideas were just a little more spontaneous and his plans a lot more reckless than her brand of smarts.

"With pleasure." They sat down on the couch that Nino had vacated. "So, Hawkmoth is gone, but we still have Gabriel Agreste and Mayura to contend with. We know that Mayura has the ability to create monsters of her own design, which can be destroyed by finding and purifying the amok, which is a feather. Unfortunately, nobody knows enough about the peacock miraculous to predict how its power could be extended, like Hawkmoth did with the butterfly miraculous."

"The butterfly miraculous - is there any way we could use it?" Percy asked, glancing towards the corner, where a purple kwami with wings was sat forlornly, Wayzz doing his best to comfort him whilst Plagg and Trixx hovered nearby.

"I'm not sure yet. Hawkmoth's desire may have corrupted it, and I'm not sure yet how we could use it for our own gain."

"Okay, well, I'm all for using it if you decide it's a good idea. You know I'd never hurt any of my friends."

Annabeth nodded. "Maybe. Also, we have to consider our... origins. We don't know if one of us using a miraculous would cause any adverse affects. Despite losing his miraculous, Gabriel still has the upper hand here. The best thing to do would be to take him by surprise and use our strength of numbers, before he's had time to recover and figure out an attack strategy." She took a breath and looked around the room, gaze lingering on each of the superheroes in turn. 

"That's it!" she cried, kissing Percy on the cheek. "You're the best."

"You know it," Percy grinned, despite clearly having no idea what his girlfriend was on about. "Mind explaining why?"

"No time, surprise will be our advantage. I'll lay out the basics on the way." Annabeth surveyed the room again, eyes landing on Alya as she watched Ladybug talking to Chat with an unreadable expression. She jumped when Annabeth spoke next to her. 

"You figured it out, didn't you."

"So... I'm right?"

Annabeth just smiled at Alya and clapped her hands to get the room's attention. The kwamis floated over to join their owners, the purple one - Nooroo -  hovering awkwardly. 

"Okay, we have part of a plan and the rest is going to be down to improvisation and teamwork. All of you need to do exactly as I tell you. We're going to ambush Hawkmoth in his own lair, and we're going to do it now. First, though... we're going to need the bee miraculous."

"Yes!" Chloé pumped the air. "Thank you- uh, who are you, exactly?"

"Annabeth and Percy, we already met?"

"Duh, I know that, but... why are you here? Giving orders to superheroes?"

"Would you rather we leave?" Annabeth raised a cynical eyebrow.

"No, but- ugh. Never mind."

"How fast can you get it, Ladybug?" Annabeth steered the conversation back on track.

"Very."

"Usually you take ages to visit the guardian," Chat said, eyebrows raised.

"I don't need to visit him." Ladybug drew her finger across her yo-yo, opening the white void where akumas went when she captured them. "I collected the bee miraculous earlier when I got the turtle and fox ones." She put her hand through the opening, making it look like her fingers were vanishing into thin air, and pulled out a hair comb.

"What?!" Chloé protested. "You had it all along and didn't give it to me? How come those two got to join in the fight?!"

"Alya and Nino were nearby, and I didn't have time to come out here and pick you up," Ladybug snapped, then passed a hand over her eyes with a sigh. "Be grateful that you're getting it at all."

"You're only giving it to me because you need me," Chloé flipped her ponytail, but hurried to snatch the miraculous from Ladybug's hand and fasten it to her head. A yellow kwami appeared, and bowed to the mayor's daughter, then sniffed and whirled to stare at Percy and Annabeth, eyes wide.

Ladybug hesitated, then reached her hand back into the yo-yo and pulled out the butterfly miraculous. She handed it to Annabeth. "I want you to have this. Just in case." Annabeth inclined her head, and pocketed the pin.

"Alright, here's the plan..."
