Tick
It was late at night and the 6 eldest kids were in the dining hall. The 10-year-olds avoided eye contact as the other four stared at them. Everyone was quiet.
"Well?" Ray snapped.
"We were just...in Mama's secret room, okay?" Don confessed.
"But, how?!" Emma asked in disbelief.
"You see...Don stole the key and..." Gilda explained.
"He what?" Y/n asked with wide eyes.
"Wait, did she...?" Norman trailed off.
Gilda responded, "I don't think she noticed, and we put it back so..."
"That was a stupid move!" Ray angrily said.
"Did you not even stop to think that the room could've had a camera or alarm? What would you have done then?! If Mama or Sister Krone found out, you two...no...we'd all be-"
"Tell us what would happen, Ray." Don demanded.
Ray just stayed silent as he glared.
"Would we be killed?" Don asked. "When we searched the room, we found Little Bunny. You kept us hopeful. Said we'd save them! But we can't save them, can we?! Cause they're all...Conny and the others are..."
"I'm sorry!" Emma apologized.
"Then, they really are..." Gilda muttered in horror.
"See, Gilda! They were lying to us after all!" Don said.
He got close to Emma and demanded, "What are you hiding?! Tell us everything!"
Emma sighed and told them the truth, her eyes staring at the ground.
"Demons? A farm?" Don questioned.
"You're saying...every single one of us was raised to be eaten?" Gilda asked.
"And, Ray and Y/n are...spies? No way." Don said.
"They did it for us." Norman defended.
"I'm technically not a spy, just playing the role of an oblivious informant to the enemy." Y/n quietly piped in with a tired expression.
"Then, you knew what was going to happen to Conny, Ray? Y/n? And Emma, Norman, you guys lied and tried to take us into a world full of demons?" Don asked.
He started laughing, making the rest stare at him weirdly or worriedly. Their expressions morphed into shock as Don turned and punched Norman.
"Norman!" The others shouted.
Y/n looked at Don and said, "Don, calm down-"
He was interrupted by Don who turned to him and punched him. Y/n stumbled back, now leaning against the wall. But still standing as he put his hand to his face.
"Y/n!"
Next, Ray got punched. Don then went to Emma and held her shirt collar. Emma waited for the punch, but it never came.
"Are we that much of a burden?! Do you guys think that Gilda and I are so weak and useless that we can't get by without the four of you protecting us?!" Don tried as he tightened his hold on Emma's shirt.
"That time you guys asked us for help, I thought you were actually relying on us! Was that a lie, Emma? I know we're not nearly as smart as you guys, but we're family. Aren't we?! We're siblings, right? I just want you to have a little faith in us."
Don calmed down and let go of Emma. "Sorry, I need to cool off. I'm going outside."
"Don, wait." Gilda said as she followed him out.
