Rachel's POV

"Just pick him up from day care and bring him here"

"But boss, how are we going to do that!"

I roll my eyes, "Just say your his uncle, he's too young to know any different" I say harshly. I get a yes in return and end the phone.

We need this money, and I'm not going without it.

Clara's POV

With Tyler working from home and Elijah starting day care, there's been a lot of flexibility. Being in work weirdly relaxes me, We've been so busy that I've had to put my phone off, Nat had to do the same.

"Okay so the documents have been sent to Richard. I'll book the meeting with Daisy for next week and we can carry out the Lunns Project tomorrow" I nod at Nat and continue on with my work. We need to meet the deadlines of this critical work and we are nearly done.

I type and type, then eventually I put in the last couple words. I spend the next two hours reviewing the work before sending it off to my dad and the client. I and Nat look at each other letting out a deep breath, then smile.

"So...you and Lee? I haven't heard much about it." I smirk and look at her. Lee is a secretive person when it comes to people she likes.

"Well umm I don't know...we've been on and off I guess. I'm just..." she sighs deeply.

"Your just confused?" She looks up at me and nods, "I get it, you probably think she will just use you and dump you?" She nods again. "I've known Lee nearly all my life and trust me. That girl is a handful but she doesn't mess around with love" I smile widely, she smiles and hides her face.

I start drinking my coffee, "So you and Tyler... thinking of marriage" I instantly spit it out.

"I- I- um I-" I can't speak. SPEAK DAMIT!

"I know you do, don't wait too long. I hear Tyler would love marriage" She winks at me then leaves the office.

I have never. Like NEVER. Have thought of getting married to anyone but Tyler. But the thought still fears me, I guess I'll wait till the day comes. For now I like how we are. A little family.

———

As soon as we finish, I turn my phone on to see so many texts from Tyler I groan. What has this girl done now, I open them and see half of them are pictures of her and Eli. Then a couple messages follow, making me laugh.

Babe don't be mad! I picked Eli up early so we could hang out!!!

Eli gave me another high five today!

Shall I make dinner or takeaway?!

Actually I can't be bothered...TAKEAWAY IT IS!

Imagine, I was in bed and the charger was across the room but I really couldn't be bothered to get it so I crawled...felt like a ninja.

Was tiring though :(

I miss you! Hurry up! Eli has been teasing me! The kids like you! A bully!

I burst out laughing and proceed to show Nat, she laughed as well. We clean up and leave the office, bidding our goodbyes and driving home. The drive is peaceful and calming, light music playing in the background. The scenery is beautiful as the suns setting, I'm pretty sure their both awake, Eli never sleeps without seeing us and Tyler doesn't sleep if Eli doesn't. It's weird, he looks like me but acts like a combo of both.

Tyler has been someone in my life I never expected and even though things have moved fast I feel safe and happy with her. Waking up to her every morning, arguing with her and messing with each other, it's something that I enjoy. Well the arguing depends on what it's about, I do love cussing her tv show choices. It's so funny watching her pout and run upstairs, this was before Eli was born.
