When you tell him you're pregnant pt2

'W-what do you mean Legolas? ' I asked him.
Legolas left a sigh, 'you can't have- I mean I don't want to have children with you y/n' he said as he looked away from me.
'But why? Having children was all I ever wanted and all we ever talked about! Why don't you want children? ' I asked him as tears threatened to spill from my eyes. My heart was absolutely shattered hearing what he has just said.

'No y/n, I don't want children and I also don't want to talk about this anymore' he said as he swiftly got up and left the room, leaving me alone.

The tears finally left my eyes as I sat down on the ground. I had no idea why Legolas was acting this way and this wasn't the Legolas I knew. H-he wasn't like this, he wasn't that cold.

I sat there in my room all alone, contemplating my thoughts as tears left my eyes endlessly.
Suddenly the door flew open. It was Legolas and he seemed angry...and in a hurry.
'Get ready, we leave for Rivendell at night fall' he said coldly, his gaze not meeting my eyes.
'Rivendell? Why so suddenly? Legolas will you tell me what is going on? ' I said as I raised my voice slightly.

'Nothing is going on y/n, I have some important business there that I need to attend to' he said as he started packing his clothes and weapons.

'No Legolas you have to tell me what is going on? Why are you acting this way? Why don't you want to have a child? I said. I clutched my head as a sudden wave of nausea and dizziness hit me. I fell back on the bed with a groan as Legolas finally looked at me with worry and concern all over his face.
'Y/n! Are you okay? Do you need to go to the healers? ' he said, quickly coming and kneeling down beside me. He took my face in his hands to wipe away my tears.
'You're burning' he said his eyes widening.
'You need some rest before we leave, sleep y/n' he said as he picked up my feet from the ground and lay them on the bed. I quickly fell asleep never having felt this tired before.

I opened my eyes slightly some time later as I felt myself being moved.
'L-legolas! ' I said out realizing that someone was carrying me.
'Shh, it's me meleth nin, we are leaving for Rivendell, it's already night fall' he said as I looked around and realised he was carrying me towards a group of soldiers in horses, his horse ready for him in the middle.

'She will ride with me Father, we will come back as soon as this is sorted.' I faintly heard Legolas say.
'Take care of her' Thranduil said before I felt myself being lifted up on the horse. I adjusted myself on the horse before leaning back on Legolas's chest and falling asleep again.

The next time I woke up, I found myself inside a tent. We were probably taking rest for the day. I was about to call for Legolas when I heard his voice coming from outside the tent. He was taking to another person whose voice I couldn't quite recognise -

'S-she has already gotten so weak, it's all my fault, I should have controlled myself' said Legolas.
'Don't worry, Elrond is one of the best healers on middle earth, she will be fine' the other person said.

'I know, I know but still I couldn't control myself even though I knew about her condition- ' Legolas said before he suddenly stopped speaking. He must have had seen my shadow from outside the tent.

Clearly Legolas was hiding something from me. I knew something was wrong from the very moment he said he didn't want children. Whatever this was, I had to find it out myself because clearly everyone was hiding it from me.

'Do you need something my love?' Legolas asked me as he entered my tent and sat down beside me.

'When are we going to start moving again? ' I asked him as I sat up and adjusted myself.

'After everyone's rested. How are you feeling now? ' he asked as he tucked a strand of my hair behind my ears.
'I'm fine, I just feel weak' I say, leaning my head on his shoulders.
'Stay with me please? ' I asked him as I tucked on his sleeve.
'Of course meleth nin! ' he chuckled.

'Let me go and tell the gaurds once and then I'll come right back to you, we'll leave tomorrow morning as soon as the sun rises' he said as I nodded.

Thoughts filled up my head as I waited for Legolas to come back. There were so many things I wanted to ask him, there were so many things I needed to find out. But not now, for now the only thing I needed was falling asleep in my lover's warm embrace.

'I'm here love' I heard Legolas's voice as I looked up to him, his smile, his smile gave me all the comfort I needed.
