When you are injured by spiders

As we entered the forests of Mirkwood, Legolas had his bow and arrow ready and I had my daggers out as well. We were really hoping that we could enter the castle safely and without having to fight spiders. As we were approaching Mirkwood the more nervous I was getting about meeting Thranduil. Legolas had told me numeral times that his Ada would love me but I for one, was not so sure.
I was busy thinking of Thranduil when I slipped on a branch and fell down with a loud thud.
'Aaah' I let out a painful groan. Legolas, who was a little ahead of me, came running worriedly.
'Y/n!!! What happened? ' he said as he searched my body for injuries. He saw that i was holding my ankle. He bent down and took my ankle in his hands.
'Does it hurt my love? ' he asked me. I nodded a no because I didn't want him to worry.
'Will you be able to walk y/n?? Should I carry you? He asked me worriedly.
'I'm fine, my love. I will be able to walk, it's just a twisted ankle, we have had worse injuries than this' I told him, pecking his lips. He gave me a hand and got me up. I tried to walk but I was only limping. Legolas sighed as he put an arm around my shoulder to support me and we started walking.

But soon enough we started to hear things that we were trying our best to avoid.
'Legolas? Can you hear it? Are those orcs? ' I asked him as I took out my daggers.
'Spider' Legolas said as he took out an arrow and shot it in the distance.
Very soon we were surrounded by spiders, giant ones.
'Be careful' Legolas said as he started shooting arrow after arrow. I started plunging my daggers into their bodies. Two of them came in front of me and I threw my daggers at their eyes. They moved back as they shrieked in pain. I could see that I was being surrounded by more and more spiders. So I took out my bow and arrow now, the daggers were not enough. My twisted ankle was definitely not helping me while I fought those giant spiders.
I started shooting arrows to their heads as they fell back one by one. I kept taking peeks at Legolas to check if he was okay. I mean yeah he is literally untouchable when he has his bow and arrow but the last time, in the battle of Rohan, he did get seriously injured while trying to save me.
We kept fighting them off for what seemed like hours but more of them started spawning one by one.
I didn't notice but the spiders had gotten me deeper into the jungle, away from Legolas. I could see him but my vision was blocked by the thick forest. I kept shooting arrows but my eyes were only looking for Legolas. The spiders were dying one by one and I was shooting my last few arrows. Just two of them were left when I realised I had run out of arrows. My daggers were also not with me. I sighed as I climbed up a tree and jumped on top of one of the spiders. I twisted his head and plunged my mini knife into his eye. What I had nit noticed is that the other one had gotten very close to me from the back. I was about to throw my arrow at the other one when I felt an immense stinging pain on my back. I turned around to see it was the spider. I twisted it's neck as well and plunged my knife into his head. I fell back to the ground as I screamed silently in the pain.
It was not the usual pain from an injury. I was used to that. It was because of the poison. I tried my best as I limped over to Legolas. I could feel the poison spreading as the pain spread to my legs now.
I thanked God as I saw Legolas fighting off the last few spiders.
'Legolas i-' I said before I fell down to the ground in front of him. His eyes filled up with horror as he saw the wound on my back. He came running and took my body in his arms.
'Y/n!! Y/n stay with me. Just stay with me please. Don't close your eyes. Don't worry I'm here now. I'll take all the pain away. We are very close y/n, just stay with me' I could hear him say.
The pain was unbearable but I tried to keep my eyes open as Legolas told me.
'I-it h-hurts' I managed to speak out as Legolas looked at me with so much worry. I could see a tear leave his eye.
'I know my love, but I am right here, we are here, I will take you to the best healers in Mirkwood, nothing will happen to you, I won't let anything happen to you, please don't leave me, stay with me my love' he said to me as his voice got fainter and fainter. I couldn't stay awake anymore. I closed my eyes for a moment and succumbed to the darkness.

Legolas POV

'No y/n!! Y/n stay awake!! ' I said to her as I saw her closing her eyes. I couldn't protect her. I cannot afford to loose her. I cannot let this happen to her
I started seeing a few Mirkwood gaurds. Finally, we were here. They bowed to me as soon as they saw me.
'Bring the fastest horses. NOW' I yelled to them as they quickly brought us a horse. I carried y/n to the castle with that.
On reaching I saw Tauriel standing outside.
'Tauriel, my wife is injured, get the best healers as soon as possible, and inform Ada' I said to her as I carries Y/n into the castle. The healers came in soon and I had to leave her.

'How did this happen? Could you not protect her? ' Thranduil asked as I lowered my head. It was true. I couldn't protect her again. It was all my fault. If I lost her today, it would all be my fault.
Ada saw the guilt in my eyes as he put a hand on my shoulder and said 'don't worry, our best healers are treating her, she will be fine'.

I paced outside the room the entire time as the healers treated her. One of them came outside and informed me, 'her life has been spared, but we know not of when she will wake up, or if she at all will'. My heart broke into pieces listening to this. I rushed into the room to see y/n's Iifeless body on the bed.

7 days had passed and y/n had not moved a finger. I stayed beside her the entire time without food or sleep. Ada would come visit pretty often.
I took her hand in mine, 'I'm so sorry my love, its all my fault, but please come back, please come back to me' I whisped to her as a tear left my eye.
'I-im here Legolas, and it was not your fault, don't blame yourself' I heard someone say. It was her voice. It was y/n. My face filled with joy as I saw her open her eyes.
'You're awake ' I said as tears of happiness left my eyes.
'I'm awake Legolas, of course I am, I would never leave you like this, im always going to come back' she said as she smiled softly.
'I love you so much meleth nin' I said to her.
'I love you too Legolas' she said as she looked into my eyes.
