Adrien/Cat Noir POV

I stare in horror as the Spinning Top comes down onto Y/N, unable to move.

Once it's done, the bee guy has a wicked grin on his face. Then something surprises me. Y/N looks at me. She turns her head, to look at me, and walks towards me. Why isn't she paralysed? I'm not complaining though, relief floods through me.

"Wha- how?" I can hardly speak.

"I... I don't know"

I quickly look around for the bee guy, and see him descending into the shadows. That's not what worries me though. What makes my skin crawl and the hair on my neck stand up is the insane smirk on his face, as if he just won something. He laughs, then somehow disappears on the spot.

But that doesn't matter now. What matters is that Y/N is safe. The lights go on again.

"I know" she suddenly says.

"Wha-"

"You're Cat Noir!" she blurts out, then quickly covers her mouth. "L-let's get out!" she says, before rushing to the door. It's unlocked. I run to catch up with her, but it's hard because I am in utter shock at what she just said. How does she know? I need to convince her I'm not.

"Y/N, wait!" I shout to her, out of breath. She doesn't slow down.

"Y/N! Seriously!"

She stops, and I stand beside her. "Let's go to my apartment to talk" I say. "Okay" she replies quietly, not looking at me.

We sit down at the kitchen table, avoiding each other's eyes. "Listen, Y/N, I'm not sure where you got that idea, but I'm not Cat Noir. I could never be"

"Adrien" she says, and I have never heard her sound so serious. She looks me in the eye. "Adrien, there's no point in denying. I know you are"

I can't lie to her. She is so serious, so stubborn. And I know I could never convince I am not. She has made up her mind, and there is no way I can change it. How many other people know!? Is it obvious!?

"Does anyone else know? Is it that obvious?" I say, panicking.

"Okay, one question at a time" she says. "No one else knows, at least not that I know of. And honestly... I find it pretty obvious. You look the same, sound the same, and whenever one disappears, so does the other"

I cover my eyes and lean on the table. "No, no, no, no...." I mumble.

"Adrien, it's gonna be okay. I highly, highly doubt that anyone else knows"

I nod, but I can't ignore the squeezed feeling inside my chest.

"Hello there, I'm Plagg, Adrien's kwami!"

"Plagg!" I say.

"What? She already knows anyway"

Y/N has a confused smile on her face. "Uhh... hi" she says.

Then something occurs to me.

"Y/N, there is a magic that the miraculouses use that makes people unable to see the resemblance between the holders' civilian form and hero form. Also, the miraculous' power didn't affect you when he tried to paralyse you" I look up at her. "What if you're... somehow immune to the power of miraculouses?"

Her eyebrows scrunch together. "But... in the warehouse, when Lia and I were attacked... there was this illusion, probably from the fox miraculous, and I saw it and fell for it. We both did"

"That's so weird" is all I can manage to say, and even that's an understatement.

She looks up at me. "Should we... I don't know, test it?"

"How?" and she'd better not say what I think she will say.

"Use your Cataclysm, of course"

"No" I say firmly. "Absolutely not"

"Okay, okay. Do you have any other powers we could try?"

"Don't think so... and I'm not putting your life in danger just to test something" I say firmly.

"Okay" she says. "I'd better go, it's late and I don't want to keep you for too long. But Adrien... just remember that you can trust me. I'll keep this secret. And if you need any help with, ya know, super hero-y stuff, you can tell me", and with that, she leaves.

"Well that went well" Plagg floats in front of my face.

"Yeah I guess..."

"What ya thinking Adrien? I know that look on your face. It's the 'should I actually do it?' face"

"I don't have a 'should I actually do it?' face"

"Yes Adrien, yes you do. And you have it on now. So what ya thinking 'bout doing?"

I sigh. "Giving the tiger miraculous to Y/N", I reply. Silence follows.

"Go for it, if you think so Adrien. Well, I'm gonna get more cheese, bye!", and he floats into the spare room, where he stores his camembert.

I think I'm going to do it. I know very well by now that I need someone I can confide in and talk to, badly. I physically can't do all this by myself.

I'm going to do it, tomorrow.
