Y/N POV
"So... you get the basic parts of what being a Progeny means? Say them to me", says Jade.
"Okay, uhh..." I start. "We have this mind control power, and each Progeny has some unique powers depending on their Progenitor"
"Yeah, that's all you need to know right now" says Chase. Suddenly, his eyes light up. "Let's go find out who your Progenitor is!"
I can't believe I didn't even think of that.
"Who's yours?" I ask Jade and Chase as we walk towards the door into the huge cylinder room. The room we walk into is large and circular, a glowing purple-ish blue ball floating in the middle of the room. There are a few doors behind it, and above us in the towering walls are many stained glass windows, each with a different animal on them.
"Mine's the Snake Progenitor" says Chase with a grin. "I'm the Black Cat Progeny" says Jade, she is grinning like mad. "I can't wait to find out which one you are!"
"But..." I start, "how do you even know I'm really a Progeny?" I ask.
"Well, for starters, only Progenies can get here, Master Vole being the only exception" answers Chase. "Also, you are immune to the effects of the miraculouses. Master Vole made sure of that" adds Jade.
Something bugs me though, and I'm almost scared to ask. Even though they say only Progenies can be here... I'm scared I'm actually not one, as stupid as it may sound. I decide to say it anyway.
"When I was attacked in the warehouse, there was this illusion, probably from the Fox Miraculous, and I saw it and fell for it"
"Well, I don't know what you're talking about because I wasn't there nor saw it, but my guess would be that it wasn't the Fox Miraculous, it was the Fox Progeny. Progenies can trick Progenies, but Miraculouses can't trick us" says Jade, and I'm relieved to hear it, but her face looks troubled. Before I can ask, Chase butts in.
"Okay, you ready?" asks Chase. I'm suddenly nervous and I don't know why.
"So things'll feel a bit weird at first, and you're going to move the sun but don't worry about that", and honestly it sounds like something to worry about.
"Listen to me before you start. So firstly you need to put both hands on the orb-" starts Jade, but I can't wait any more. I place my hands on the ball.
"Y/N!" I barely hear her say, and suddenly I am in a different place.
I'm somewhere shaded, with trees left, right and towering above me. Except, where I'm standing, in the centre of a circle with a diameter of around 5 meters, there is a clearing without trees, but the leaves still blanket the place. I take in my surroundings, I forget who I am and why I'm here. For now, I just need to survive, and that's all I know.
Suddenly, something jumps out from a bush. A fox. Then another, and another.
I begin to slowly walk backwards, and then I see foxes on the other side.
I am completely surrounded.
I don't have any weapons, but I have this instinct that I am supposed to fight them. I look around for a stick, or anything I can use as a weapon. Nothing, and the foxes are coming closer by the second.
I can't think properly. I look around, and choose one fox, and without even stopping for one second to consider, I run straight at the fox. It disappears, like smoke being blown.
I turn and there is one sitting there, looking at me. It then gets up and walks into the forest.
I then hear rustling, and I am looking around, but I don't see any living thing. Then something drops. A banana lands in front of me. I look up, and spot the doer.
A brown monkey stares down at me, with a bunch of bananas in its arms. It jumps from tree to tree down, and lands in front of me, slowly approaching me with uneven steps.
I'm not backing away this time. I lunge towards it, and it dodges, and throws a banana at me. The next one I catch, and I suddenly feel weird and disorientated. I wobble around for a moment and lean over, trying to recover my strength, and when I'm better and I look up, the monkey is gone.
I stand up fully, and I see movement in the corner of my eye. I quickly turn my head, and all I see is the forest. I relax for a moment, trying to get my thoughts straight, when I had this strong feeling.
I know there is something alive in the place where I saw the movement. I slowly approach it, somehow knowing it was incredibly dangerous, but I feel so drawn to it.
A tiger comes out from behind a tree, and instead of attacking me, or pouncing on me, it slowly walks towards me, and I can't move. Not out of fear, but I just know it doesn't want to hurt me.
I reach out my hand and touch the tiger's nose, then everything disappears in a bright light.
I am lying on a floor, breathing heavily. Two faces are leaning over me, and it takes a moment for my eyes to focus on them.
Memories come flooding back. My name is Y/N. I live in London. My best friend is Lia. I am friends with Adrien, and I know he is Cat Noir. Adrien. For some reason, I really want to get back to see him.
Finally, my eyes focus, and Chase is grinning down at me, while Jade is frowning at me. I lean up.
"Hey", I say, not knowing where to start.
"I told you! I told you to listen!" says Jade.
"Jade, she's here now. Who cares?" Jade glares daggers at Chase.
"So... am I supposed to know who my Progenitor is?" I ask, and I only realise how dumb it sounds after I say it.
Chase laughs and says "It's fine, we know. Look" and he points to one of the stained glass windows which the sun seems to particularly focus on shining on.
"Told ya you'd move the sun"
When I luck a little closer at the stained glass, I realise it has a tiger on it. "I'm..."
"Yep" says Chase. "The Tiger Progeny"
