Adrien/Cat Noir PoV

The boy with the blue eyes stands up. "No time," he says as he shakes his head. "We need to figure this our first."

Why is he so familiar? Not even all of him - just his eyes. I know them from somewhere. I remember an utterly terrified look in them.

Martin. That's who. They have the same eyes... but why?

I snap out of my thoughts when Y/N asks, "What's the problem?"

The boy and Jade give each other a concerned look. "You guys keep trying to figure it out," Jade addresses to the others. "I will show them what the... problem is."

The others nod, and begin to speak again. Even though I can't hear their words, the atmosphere of worry in the room is unmissable - it weighs down heavy. Chase must not know what the concern is about, as his eyebrows are pulled to the centre of his forehead and he is chewing his lip. Jade guides us to a different room.

"So, we never explained this to Y/N, and I guess since Adrien is here we better talk to him. The Book keeps track of everything that enters and exits the Homeland, and can also detect other things too - for example, today it showed that 3 people entered the witch's cave-" and with that she gave a pointed stare at Chase, "-which is how we knew. Anyway, this morning there was... an entrance. Except, no one we know entered at that time. Everyone except Y/N and Adrien were already here. And... it was weird. Usually the entrance will show who entered by showing their Progeny animal - if they don't have one or don't know yet, it'll just be a vole. But this... was something else. Just a black blob."

Chase's mouth hangs open and Y/N's eyes are going to pop out if she opens them any wider.

There is an ocean of silence in the room, its waves carry around bits of fear and confusion and shock, and we are all drowning in that sea.

Finally, Chase speaks up. "So... we're not alone here."

Jade shakes her head. "This is why I was so mad - we can't go outside the Core anymore. We can't put lives at risk. Only Progenies can come in, unless Master Vole lets them, which he wouldn't do. Until it's gone, there's no way home."
