Hi! I'm sorry, this week has been crazy for me, so it's been a while. I promise to try update more frequently in future! - clara

Y/N POV

So many questions swirl around my head.

Chase clears his throat. "You know Adrien?"

"Not personally, no," says Master Vole. His voice is deep and serious, "but I do know we can trust him, and we need him for this mission."

Mission? What mission. Adrien asks before I can, "A mission?"

"I'll explain all later, for now, both of you should meet the other Progenies, most of them are here now, and you'll find out why in due time."

"Uh, sorry, Master, but I have a question," says Chase. Master Vole raises an eyebrow. "How did Adrien get in? I thought only Progenies could get in."

"Because I let him in. Now, into the hall."

I follow Chase to 'the hall.' He leads us to double doors, and inside is a huge round table, with chairs surrounding it. There are paintings running across all the walls, of what I think are animals. The room is kind of a mess, with a few scattered books and pages, but it looks cosy.

Inside, there are about 6 people standing around the table, and Jade is one of them. Her jet black hair is braided down her back, and freckles are splashed all over her face. I notice now she is really pretty. She has a grave look on her face, her eyebrows are pulled together in the middle of her forehead and her mouth is just a line.

Some of the others have a similar serious face like her, and some just look relaxed.

A guy with blond hair is the first to notice us. He has striking blue eyes, and a small build.

"Guys!" he says, and the room quiets down.

Jade gives me a weak smile when she sees me, then a playful roll of her eyes at Chase, and gives a glare to Adrien.

"Who's this?"

Adrien shifts like he's nervous. "Hi, my name is Adrien."

"You're a Progeny?" Jade asks skeptically.

"N-no," and with that, everyone gasps, but I honestly don't see the problem with it.

"Hey! Adrien is good, Master Vole let him in," and when I say that, they calm down a little.

"Um, so, this is Adrien, this is Y/N, she's the Tiger Progeny," says Chase. I look over at Adrien, and notice he's looking at the blond boy with a confused look. I decide I'll ask later.

"Okay," says the guy with the striking blue eyes. "Take a seat," he says, in his calm voice.

I decide to stand, because everyone else is doing so, but I stand in front of a seat at the table.

"So, what were you guys doing before we came?"

Jade eyes us skeptically. "I think a better question is what were you guys doing before you came?" she says.

"Nothin', Jade. We came in, took our time walking, and arrived here," says Chase, and I have no idea how he sounds so convincing.

"The book begs to differ. You arrived here almost an hour ago. Even if you were walking slowly, you would still be here in about 20 minutes," people look at Chase doubtfully. I wonder what 'the book' she mentioned is.

"We're not telling Master Vole about it, by the way," says Jade, and I am relieved. "But he'll probably find out anyway."

"Yep, well aware. So, how about some introductions?" asks Chase.
