Chapter 21

Adrien/Cat Noir POV

AN - Sorry I haven't posted in a while! I had exams all last week, but now I don't have school so posts will be more frequent

We go back to our apartments to get our stuff. "Oh yeah, I got my bag back!" says Y/N.

"That's great!" I say, although I didn't know it was missing. We go to my apartment first, and I get my wallet and a few more of my belongings.

Next we go to Y/N's. The place is just how I remembered, a little messy but at the same time organised. An organised mess is a good word for it.

"I'll just get my bag" she says. I look around her apartment, and a picture catches my eye. Her and Lia hugging, on the last day of primary school I'm assuming taking the 'Happy Graduation!' banner behind them and how young they look into consideration. I smile at the photo, they look so happy together. It suddenly makes me ache as we don't know where Lia is.

I look up, and Y/N is rummaging through her bag. "And I'm ready- wait..." he eyebrows pull together. "What is it?" I ask her. I walk over to her standing at the kitchen table.

"What the..." she says, as she pulls out a piece of paper.  "I didn't see this here before..." She opens the piece of paper, and there is something written on it. She reads it aloud.

"To Y/N. Hey, if you're reading this I'm probably already gone, so I just want to tell you everything. I didn't just find your bag, it was given to me by this evil guy called the Master, and he told me to give it to you. He threatened me, and told me to bring you to him, but I'm not going to do that. He killed Lizzy. I miss her a lot, but right now, you need to find somewhere safe. He'll come for me when he finds out I'm not doing what I was asked to do. I'm sorry for lying, Y/N. I just wanted to keep you safe. I don't know if..." she suddenly chokes a little; tears are becoming visible in her eyes, but she continues, "...if we'll see each other again. So I just want to say thanks for being my friend, and I'll miss you. From Lia"

Y/N covers her mouth her hand and falls on her knees crying. I rush over beside her, and hold her for a while. "We need to find her" she says. "We will" I assure her. I hold her a little tighter, comforting her. She buries her head in my chest, and butterflies fly around my stomach. "Where do we start?" I ask. She rubs her eyes. "I'll ask Jade and Chase if they have any ideas, and you guys can meet," she says quietly.

"I know we said we would start looking for her today, but it's getting late and I think we've done enough today." She nods, and she stays in my apartment. Tomorrow, we'll start our search, and I'll meet Jade and Chase.
