We walk silently back to the room with the other Progenies.

"We need to warn the others," says a girl with dark skin and curly hair. Her face looks kind - like it's usually smiling, but today, there is a serious glint in her eyes and a grave expression plastered on her face. "The Progenies who aren't here right now - if they come in without knowing about the intruder..."

The room falls silent.

"Some of us will have to go out and warn them - we can't let that happen," someone with dark hair and dark eyes speaks out.

"But is it worth it?" Jade questions. "We could lose the ones going out to warn them and the ones who haven't been warned."

Chase speaks up, "I say we do it. We either lose them for sure or we risk it, but with a chance of our and their survival."

No one objects to Chase's suggestion.

"Okay, who are we sending out?" Jade voices the question lingering in the air.

"I think Jade needs to stay," Chase says, and is responded to with Jade's wide brown eyes looking incredulously into his own. "We already lost Willow - one of the most powerful Progenies, along with Jade. We can't lose both the Ladybug and Black Cat Progenies."

Although Chase states that reason, I get the feeling there is more to it than that.

People nod in agreement, and Jade's defeated face hurts to look at - she knows he is right.

"I'll go," says the person with dark brown, almost black hair, and eyes equally dark.

People take sudden interest in their feet. The atmosphere is so grave and heavy it hurts.

"How many of us go and how many stay?" Simon asks.

"Ok, well, there are eight of us here right now, and 16 unwarned Progenies. I say 5 of us go and 3 of us stay," Chase responds.

A girl with blond hair and blue eyes stands up. "That's a lot, though. If those 5 don't make it then the other 16 may not - and we'd have slightly more than 3 Progenies left," she remarked.

"We have no choice," stated Chase grimly, and it honestly hurts to see him so serious. You know something is wrong when he is - when I first met him the thought of him being so serious made me want to laugh. He shakes his head, "There are so many out there. We have to. I'm going to go - so far it's Jordan and I. Any more volunteers?"

"I'll go!" I belted without thinking. "And me," Adrien stands beside me.

I look up at him with shock, but he stares straight ahead, his green eyes flooded with determinedness. My chest fills with worry; my heart is going to jump out if it gets any stronger. I grab Adrien's hand, and he squeezes mine. I return the gesture.

The girl with the blond hair is the last volunteer. It took a bit of convincing and thought - no one wanted to let each other go. Eventually we decided Simon, the curly-haired girl and Jade had to stay and keep an eye on things.

"Keep your minds open," says Jade. "If we need to contact you, we'll do it through phone, so don't listen to anything that speaks into your mind."

"Got it." says Chase. The five of us walk in silence to the door, not knowing who will never come back.
