They all turned their heads to see a jeep driving at full speed into a helicopter, Jorge in the driver's seat. Crashing into the helicopters the blades flew off the body of the machine and knocked over a few of the soldiers and caused the Gladers to lie on the floor as they passed.
Looking up the group saw people fighting back against WCKD, a smirk forming on Athena's face.
"Get her out of here!" Janson commanded, ushering Teresa and Ava Paige onto the berge.
"You good?" Minho asked as he helped Frypan off the ground.
"Freeze! Drop it kid!" they shouted at Thomas and Athena.
Athena quickly shot the shooting guard then went to shoot again to realize she was out already. "Mierda." she said.
Thomas quickly threw the C4 at the rest of the guards and turned to the group as he started running, "Run! Get down!" he said as he clicked the button, blowing up the area around the soldiers, killing them.
Janson ran out of the smoke and punched Thomas in the face knocking him to the ground. "What a waste." he said as he pulled out a loaded gun and pointed it at Thomas' face.
He was shot off from on top of Thomas, by Brenda who was up in the mountains with a Sniper.
"Vince! Go!" Harriet shouted, as she threw Athena a handgun she pulled out from one of the guards holsters.
"Let's go!" Finn shouted as he and Vince ran to the fifty on the back of the truck."Now!" Finn ushered as the two made it to the gun, Vince loading it and opened fire.
"Get outta here! Go! Go!" Minho commanded, as he picked up a gun "You go with them." he said to Athena who was the only other person with a gun.
"Careful, Minho." Newt shouted after him.
"Come on, Thomas! Get outta here!" he shouted as Thomas ran past.
"Come on, Minho. Let's go!" Thomas .
"Get out of here! Go!"
"Get down!" Newt said as the four hid behind a box.
"MINHO!" Athena screamed, as he got hit, collapsed to the ground. As she went to run forwards Newt tackled her to the ground and brought her back behind the box.
"You can't, there's too many." he said his eyes filling with tears.
"I have to try." she said going to stand up again, but Newt pulled her back down.
"Please. Just stay here. I can't lose both of you." Newt pleaded, not giving him an answer. He wrapped his arms round her and they both peaked over the box.
As the guards gabbed Minho, Thomas ran from behind the box, but was quickly grabbed by Jorge and dragged the opposite way. Newt grabbed onto Athena the same but she didn't put as much as a fight up knowing Newt was right.
"Minho!" Thomas shouted.
"Thomas, we gotta go. We can't save him. Come on." Jorge tried to reason.
As they stood on a hill, they watched as Minho got dragged into the berge, Teresa, Ava and Janson all standing in there with him.
"Voy a matarla joder." she mumbled, her eyes flicking between Teresa and Minho.
Tears flowed down her face as she watched the berge doors close and the aircraft fly off. Watching Minho fly away. Watching her best friend be taken. And she just had to sit there and watch.
The crowd below them cheered in victory as WCKD flew off.

As the sun scorched the group walked around the damaged and broken refuge site. Walking past endless covered up bodies, fire and destruction.
Walking through Newt looked down to recognise a certain backpack. "Hey, Thea!" he shouted, the brunette turned around and walked towards him "Isn't this yours?" he said holding it up.
"Yeah, I must have left it in Finn's tent." she said grabbing it off him and slinging it round her shoulders.
"It's very light. What's in it?" He asked, inspecting the bag.
"Um just some stuff."
"What's some stuff that you have had to take with you the entire time." he questioned. "Oh shit. You really did take the files." he said laughing at the end.
"Why did you not believe me before?"
"No it wasn't that. It's more that I haven't seen them." he explained. "Can I look?" he asked.
Looking hesitantly she looked back at him and sighed, "Maybe not right now." she said. "I still need to reread them. I only skimmed them last time because every 10 minutes a guard would look through the door."
Nodding his head carefully, "I'll go over them once we're out of here." he said wrapping an arm around her shoulder.
Newt looked down and saw a guard helmet, and picked it up. He walked over to a set of crates and laid it down on there and crouched looking at it. "What do we do now?" Fry asked as he sat on a rock.
"Well, we pick up what's left of us." Vince spoke up, "We stick to the plan. We get you kids to the safe haven.
"Then we start over, I guess." Finn added.
"What about Minho?" Athena mumbled looking at Finn with sad eyes. He just looked back at her with a sympathetic frown.
Standing up and putting his bag round his shoulder Thomas looked at the group, "I'm not going with you." he announced, the group turned to look at him.
"What?" Vince asked.
"I made a promise to Minho. I wouldn't leave him behind. I have to go after him." Thomas explained, Athena remembering that exact conversation at the abandoned mall.
"Hey, kid, look around you. All right? WCKD just kicked out ass. You think about where you're headed." Vince countered.
"I'm not asking anyone to come with me."
"Thomas, listen to me." Newt spoke up walking forward slightly. "I've known Minho for... well, as long as I can remember. So, if there is any way we could help him, trust me, I would be up there standing next to you. This, what you're talking about is impossible."
"More like suicide." Jorge added.
"And let's be honest you would be dead already if it wasn't for us." Athena added.
"Maybe." Thomas replied, "But, I know what i'm supposed to do now." he said and turned round to grab the rifle then face the group again, "It's not just about Minho. It's about all of us. It's about everyone Wicked has ever taken, everyone they will take. They'll never stop."
"They'll never stop, so i'm going to stop them. I'm gonna kill Ava Paige." he finished.
"I have to admit," Harriet spoke up "I'd like some revenge."
"Well, that's a good speech, kid." Vince complimented.
"So, what's your plan?" Finn asked.
The group all looked to Thomas waiting for an answer.
"I can think of a few." Athena spoke up causing Newt to smirk at the girl he's in love with.
"Of course you can."
