I wake up still in the psychiatric ward. Cleo's still laying next to me asleep and drooling on my shoulder. I slowly edge out from under her head and place a pillow there.
I find my clothes in a bag by my bed and go to find the bathroom. I the bathroom I change out of my drool covered hospital gown into my clean and dry clothes.
I manage to find a exit and sneak out. The sun greets me with some warmth and I start walking to the only place I know. Chris's coffee shop.
When I walk in he looks up in surprise. "I wasn't ex- Alex? I haven't seen you here since Zodiac's death." "I want the Hazelnut Latte." He looks at me. "Are you sure you want that?" I glare at him. "Yes." I say clenching my teeth. "Okay. One hazelnut latte coming up." He smiles and gets to work.
I feel bad for being rude but I just lost Zodiac... No I lost him five years ago. I go and sit down at the table I was at in my episode. "Me and Zach got in a fight last night." Calls Chris. "What about?" I ask looking out the big window.
"Well he said I seemed a little too happy when you woke up. He still gets jealous when I'm around other men. It's like he doesn't trust me." He walks over with my latte. "Can he just trust me for once?" Chris looks tired and puts his head in his hands.
"I though when he proposed he was starting to trust me." Chris plays with the black ring on his finger. "Maybe not. Maybe it was another act of jealousy." Chris sighs and puts his forehead on the table.
"I need a break." He mumbles. I place and hand on his shoulder and try to comfort him. All of a sudden he's not there. He just disappears. "I KNEW IT!" I say jumping up out of my chair.
"I knew it wasn't real!" I run out of the door and down the street to the abandoned building. I do the same thing I did before to get inside but to my surprise it looks like I was already here.
Knocked over mannequins. I head upstairs and see the same thing but with Scarred. I see oil residue on the floor. I run through the hallway, the little home the kid made for himself, past the room I almost got killed in,and down the dark hallway.
I see a small light ahead and walk towards it. When I reach it I see it's my flashlight and behind it is my unmoving body. I touch my arm and my arm in this reality melds with it.
So I do what I believe is the right thing. I jump into my own body.
