I open my eyes. I look around and notice a blue film over my eyes. I stand up and look at my hands. They are a blueish white. What's going on? I ask myself.
I start walking around and see a door in front of me. I open it and see the lab I was in earlier. I don't see anyone in it now.
I walk towards the cluttered table and go to search through the papers when I see one that looks new. I pick it up and read it.Alex
Fear: Cold
Status: AliveI drop the paper in shock. At least I'm alive. And I'm in control of the monster that was born from my fear. I start looking for myself. A sentence I never thought I would say.
When I find myself I notice I look peaceful. Probably because I'm not living my fear. I don't see any water in the tube I'm in. Good.
I look for a way to get myself out of the tube. There's a door on my tube, probably for getting the people in before sealing it shut. I open the door, pull the probs off of my forehead, and drag myself out of the tube.
I figured I would go back inside my body when I pulled the probs off but no such luck. Maybe I need to wake up. I hear someone walk in and look up.
"What the hell is going on here?!" Yells the scientist that put me in this condition. I pick myself up bridal style and run. I run through the door I came in and look around.
All of a sudden I hear a scream. But not any scream. A Floofic scream. I resist the urge to cover my ears and look around.
Zodiac is standing to my right. "Zodiac! Please stop!" I try to yell at him over his screaming. He stops screaming. "How do you know my name?" He asks me.
Right. Monster form. I put myself down on the floor and look at Zodiac. "Because. You always ask for a chocolate muffin when we go the Chris's coffee shop. Last time we went you asked for coffee and I said no because you have enough energy as it is." He stares at me.
"Alex?" He asks. "Yep." He walks over to me and looks at me. "But aren't you asleep right now?" I pick him up and put him on my shoulder. "It's a long story."
I pick myself up again and walk down a hallway. I don't know what happened to that scientist but he didn't take my flashlight from my pocket. I take my flashlight from my pocket and turn it on.
The hallway's still dark but visible with the flashlight. How the other monsters see in this? I don't know. Zodiac snuggles up next to my neck and I laugh.
"Aren't I cold?" I ask him. "No. You look like a person made of ice but you're surprisingly warm." He tells me. I continue walking and look at my sleeping form in my arms.
With everything that's happened in my life you would think I would be a horrible person. But I've given money to charity even when I've been broke. I want kids like me to have a better life then I did.
I feel myself move in my arms.
