Yuzuru was dragging all of their bags to the door, wondering if his mum packed every single thing in the flat to take with them to Japan.
Yumi then joined him with few more bags, sighing that those are the last ones.

-You sure, mum? I think we should pack that armchair as well.

-Do you again want to have two left-handed gloves?

He tried to frown but in the end, laughed with her. He then sat on top of one of the plastic suitcases with more of a serious face.

-Do you think that maybe we could move some of the interviews when we are there? To.... you know.... come back earlier?

Yumi sadly smiled, looking at him with an understanding look.

-I am sometimes really wondering how you two found liking in each other. She is so....how to put it...practical? She doesn't get flustered by what life throws at her, she just takes things as they are and as they come.
Just by using logic, she determines the best course of action and follows it, without blinking an eye. Whereas you would constantly fight against everything and everyone, just to get to what you want.

-Is that a no?

-Yes, it is a no. Japan is your home, Yuzu. And all the media now are writing about you way more since you are coming back. From all the interview requests, we really selected just the most important ones, so please don't try to change the schedule now, last minute. It's just two more weeks to go for you two, and as she said, you are both adults, two weeks are like nothing.

Yuzuru nodded and got up again.

-Alright, I tried....I am going to the uni to hand over my last assignments as I won't be at the next lectures. I still have time before the flight, right?

-Yes, if you are back within an hour, we will have still time for late dinner.

Yuzuru nodded again, grabbed his things, and left.

As he was going down the stairs of 'UofT', after meeting his professors, he overheard two guys in the hallway, one of them being addressed as Viktor and having a mild Russian accent.
He seemed to be at least 15cm (6 inches) taller than Yuzuru, and had blond hair to a shoulder-length, tied in a low ponytail.
Yuzuru stopped for a moment and then decided to wait for him and thank him in person for how he helped him with Rachel. After all, Anya said he was a nice, good guy, and Yuzuru was indeed extremely grateful to him, even when it came with a little grain of jealousy.

As soon as the two guys split, Yuzuru approached him.

-Hello, are you by any chance Anya's friend Viktor?

-Yeah, that would be me. You are that figure skater, huh?

-Yes, Hanyu Yuzuru, nice to meet you!

They shook hands and Yuzuru continued.

-I just wanted to thank you for how you helped me with the blackmailing from Rachel.
I am truly very very grateful to you.

And Yuzuru bowed a little.
Viktor smirked at him, measuring Yuzuru up and down with his gaze.

-I did it for her, not for you. And looking at you up close, I really don't know what she sees in you.

Yuzuru's gratitude was gone within a second, replaced with anger that he was now trying to suppress.

-Well, I would then leave that up to Anya what she sees in me. Obviously, she didn't see much in you.
