Chapter 13

I slowly opened my eyes as the sound of my alarm filled the room. I rolled over and stopped my alarm. I sighed while staring up at the ceiling, remembering the events of yesterday. I climbed out of bed and quickly showered. I then changed into my school uniform and did my hair and makeup. I stared in the mirror for a moment. I couldn't stand looking at my own reflection. I grabbed my school bag and hurried down the stairs. I was just about to leave the house when a voice stopped me.

"Forgetting anything?" My mam shouted from the kitchen. I turned around to face her as she walked over, unsure of what she was talking about.

"You haven't had breakfast and you're about to leave without taking any lunch!" she sighed.

"I'm going to miss the bus. I'll just get something at school" I quickly replied.

"At least take some fruit for now" she said while passing me a banana and an orange.

"Uh thanks" I replied while shoving the food into my bag. "See you later!" With that I left the house and rushed to the bus stop, even though I was actually really early for the bus. I shoved my earphones into my ears and started listening to Ed Sheeran.

I listened to my favourite Ed Sheeran song and waited for the bus to hell. When the bus arrived I climbed on and took a seat near the middle of the bus. I stared out the window and got myself lost in thought. Today is a new day. I broke yesterday so today I need to show everyone that I'm over it. Today I am not taking any shit.

For what I think might have been the first time ever, I actually watched as Lauren got on the bus and sat down next to me. We exchanged hellos and then Lauren sat there awkwardly as if not knowing how to approach a subject.

"Just say what you're thinking" I told her. "I don't care how blunt it is!" She looked at me for a second as if she was thinking.

"What happened between you and Charlie?" She asked.

"I know that you know what happened" I replied. She sighed.

"What happened between you and Liam?" She asked.

"Well," I started. I continued to tell her the whole story of what happened. When I finished I waited for her to reply.

"I can see why Charlie flipped out" she started. "But he should of at least listened to you."

"I know right! Not even Shane would've done that!"

"What? Who?" She asked confused.

"Sorry fandom joke" I apologised. "I should be aSHANEd!" (A\N seriously if you get these jokes you are my new best friend)

"Anyway..." Lauren broke the awkward silence. "Are you going to speak to him today?"

"We'll I'm still yet to tell him my side of the story so..." I answered. Just as I finished talking the bus came to a stop outside school. We got off the bus to be greeted by Nadine and Imogen. We exchanged hellos then started walking towards the gates. They were having some debate about something that I didn't really care about. I just tuned out and started preparing what I was going to say when I saw Charlie. I was still just preparing what I was going to say when I saw Charlie and Leo.

"What are you going to say?" Lauren asked.

"I don't know" I honestly replied.

"You are going to speak to him now aren't you?" she asked.
