Chapter 16

The 6 words whirled round my head.
"What!" I practically shouted. Everyone turned to look us. "What... a... umm... what a great song!" Everyone just continued to stare. Probably because there was some French heavy metal song playing. Awkward. Eventually everyone stopped staring.
"Kira!" Lauren whined.
"Sorry what did you expect me to say?" I asked.
"Not that you liked this song!" she replied.
"Are you sure?" I questioned.
"Not sure that I am, but sure that I might" she answered. "Anyway can we talk about this later?"
"Whatever" I replied.

When we arrived at the hotel we faced a small building. The teachers led us into the reception. It was a small room with 3 sofas and a big reception desk. Mr Brown went to speak to the receptionist while we all waited in the reception.
"Can boys stand over here and girls over here" Miss Jones instructed. We all split up to where we were instructed to go. Mr Brown then came walking over with keys in his hand.
"Everyone follow me up the stairs" Mrs King instructed leading us all to the stairs.

We were taken up two flights of stairs then the boys went up another. We all gathered in the hallway to be shown to our rooms. My room was the first room to be read out. We were in room 134. We were shown inside. There was a balcony door on the other side of the room to the door, which had long draped curtains that reached the floor. On one wall there were bunk beds and on the adjacent wall there was a double bed. There was a make up table in the corner by the balcony with a big mirror and a bathroom by the door. The room was definitely big.
"Wow" I heard Zoe mutter.
"Me and Kira will share the double bed" Lottie told everyone.
"I'm a bottom bunk kinda gal" Zoe said.
"But I hate the top bunk!" Connie whined.
"Sometimes we all have to do things we hate," I false smiled. "That's life." She glared at me. If looks could kill she would have killed me multiple times in a painful way. I put my suitcase by the bottom of the bed and sat down. I pulled out my phone to text my mam. I let her know that I was in France safely so that she wouldn't worry. I then got a pair of high waisted denim shorts and a light pink top with short sleeves out of my bag. I went into the bathroom to get changed and freshened up. I could hear shouting from in the bedroom.
"Stop looking at me perv!" I could hear Connie shouting.
"Can you stop thinking that your better than everyone because you're just a bitch!" Zoe retaliated. I quickly exited the bathroom.
"Well I'm definitely better than you because you're a skank!" Connie screamed. Zoe went to hit Connie but I quickly grabbed her.
"She's not worth it Zo" I told her. I let go of Zoe and she stormed into the bathroom.
"Bitch must be on her period" Connie smirked knowing she'd won.
"Look we've got to spend a week together," I started. "Even though we may not get on can we at least try to? Otherwise this is going to be one long, hard week"
"I'll try but if that fugly bitch insults me she's going down" Connie replied. I knew that was as nice as she was going to be so I gave up and collapsed onto my bed.

At dinner, I sat at a table with Charlie, Leo, Lauren and Nadine. Imogen had decided to sit with some boy she liked but she wouldn't tell us who. I sat across from Lauren and the tension was very apparent.
"Have you two had an argument?" Nadine asked.
"No" I replied while pushing my food around my plate.
"Why aren't you eating?" Charlie asked.
"I'm not hungry" I replied. Everyone sat in silence.
"I'm going to have a look in the shop" I eventually said breaking the silence.
"I'll come with you" Charlie told me.
"No it's fine you're still eating," I told him. "Lauren will come with me" We got up to go. I gave Charlie a quick peck on the lips before we went to leave.
"Wait!" Nadine exclaimed as we were walking away. "I want to come"
"Oh okay," Lauren replied.

The shop had everything: from food to clothes to pool essentials to pregnancy tests. I picked up some sweets and a postcard.
"Get one" I instructed Lauren. She knew exactly what I meant and went to get a pregnancy test.
"Get what?" Nadine asked.
"Don't tell anyone but Lauren thinks she might be pregnant" I whispered.
"What?" Nadine shouted.
"She had the same reaction" Lauren rolled her eyes.
"Oh so you don't love French heavy metal?" Nadine laughed. We payed for our stuff then exited the shop.
"My room now!" I commanded.

I sat on my phone while I waited for Lauren. Nadine paced back and forth.
"Do you mind? You're making a draft!" I told her. She raised her eyebrows at me then sat down next to me.
"Aren't you anxious?" She questioned.
"I guess" I shrugged. Lauren walked out of the bathroom.
"How long have you got to wait?" Nadine asked.
"Half an hour" she replied. Just then my phone buzzed.
From Charlie
Where are you?😘 xxx
I quickly replied with:
Sorry we're having some girl talk😶 you don't even want to know😂😘 xxx
From Charlie
How long will you be?😘 xxx
To Charlie
About half an hour😘 sorry😢 xxx
"Who's that?" Lauren asked.
"Charlie" I replied while locking my phone.

After an anxious 30 minutes of waiting, it was finally time to find out the results.
"What does it say?" I asked. Lauren looked down at the test.
"It's-" Suddenly Connie and May came barging into the room. Lauren quickly slipped the test into her back pocket.
"I think I have the mascara you want in my bag babes" Connie was saying to May.
"Look what the cat dragged in" Nadine sighed.
"Nadine don't bother they're not worth it" I told her.
"Let's just go to my room" Lauren suggested.

We ran to Lauren's room which was literally opposite my room. We walked in to see Imogen and Saffron sat down chatting.
"Toilet" I whispered. We all piled into Lauren's bathroom. She pulled the test out of her pocket. I looked down at it. It was...
