Chapter 29

After months of planning it was finally prom day. The night before I fake tanned so the first thing I did when I woke up early was shower. I then got changed into a pair of jogging bottoms and a black vest top. I went downstairs to get some breakfast. As I made a smoothie my mam walked into the kitchen.
"Aw it's my little girls prom day!" she exclaimed. She pulled me into a big hug. "My little girl is all grown up! And very tanned for being in Wales!"
"Power of fake tan," I laughed. "And I guess I'm not your little girl any more,"
"Don't say that," my mam frowned pulling me into another hug. This hug was a tearful one.

At about 12:30pm Lauren came round. She had her dress hung up in a bag and carefully placed it on my bed. We sat about and waited for my cousin, Amy to arrive to do our hair. When Amy arrived we had a conversation with her before she did our hair. She did mine first. She put my hair into an up-do with some curls left out. She then did Lauren's hair. She curled it and then put it half up. She finished the look with a floral crown.

We went upstairs and got changed into our dresses. My dress was pink and strapless with black lace detail. Lauren's dress was strapless and red with diamanté and lace detail at the top. (A/N dresses on the side) You could slightly see her small bump that was forming.
"I had forgotten how lush your dress is," Lauren told me.
"I'd forgotten how hot you looked in yours," I complimented her.
"I hadn't," she joked while flipping her hair.

I did my own makeup because I don't trust other people. I put on concealer, primer, foundation, powder, blusher, bronzer, nude eyeshadow, eyeliner and a light pink lipstick. Once I had done my own makeup I did Lauren's. I did hers the same as mine except she had a dark red lipstick and gold smokey eyeshadow.

We went downstairs to show everyone. My mam started crying as soon as she saw me. My dad definitely had tears in his eyes. Lauren's mam also had tears in her eyes while Lilly stared at us in awe.
"You both look stunning," Lauren's mam complimented us. We then went through the process of having loads of photos taken.

There was a knock at the door and my dad answered. Charlie and Leo came walking in wearing suits looking very dapper.
"Wow," was the first thing Charlie said when he saw me.
"That was the kind of reaction I was hoping for," I smiled. He pulled me into a hug. Once we stopped hugging my mam and dad wanted to take even more pictures. Once we were ready to leave Charlie hooked our arms. We walked out of the house and down the drive to where a limo waited.
