The One To Save You || Luke Hemmings

Chapter 25:

Rose's P.O.V. -

These past couple of days have been so wonderful; spending them with Luke, Calum, Michael, and Ashton, just having fun and being ourselves. But its also been like hell, knowing that they're leaving me for 8 months.

And, today is that day.

Today is the day they're leaving me alone in this town.

I can't blame them, though. They're living their dreams; touring the world. I'm just a side factor of it all.

Well, I'm so happy for them. They deserve this so much. I just hope Luke and I stay in touch.

We're meeting at the airport in an hour, so its time for me to get dressed.

Since its the last time I'm gonna see Luke or any of the boys for a long time, I should try to look nice. I wanna take pictures, just in case anything happens, I'll remember these good old days...

I already curled my hair into tight curls that bounce as I walk, and I applied my winged eyeliner and mascara, plus a bit of dark pink lipstick.

As for my outfit, I decided on a cream colored floral dress with pink and light blue flowers on it. I wore a sweater over it and my vans that matched, finished up the outfit with a flower crown that matched the pink of the flowers on the dress and my lipstick.

And with one last look in the mirror, I grabbed my skateboard and my phone and left the house, making sure everything was going as it should...

Luke's P.O.V. -

Today is the last day I'm going to see Rosie for such a long time.

God, I'm gonna miss her so much. I hope she's going to be okay. Especially with her mom in the town jail.

Well, I'm gonna be talking to her on the phone every chance I get. I can't just forget about her.

I'm not gonna say goodbye. Cause goodbyes are like endings, and this isn't even close to the end of our relationship.

We all drove there together in my mom's car. Well, not Rose. She insisted on riding her skateboard there because she had something to do.

When we pulled up to the airport, Rosie was waiting there, sitting on her skateboard, looking beautiful, as always. We parked the car and all ran to Rose, engulfing her in a huge band hug.

"Hi guys." She said, hugging us back.

We took a picture as a group, and then me and Rose took one of just the two of us. I'm gonna miss her so much...

"Our flight boards in half an hour, and we still have to check in, so we better get going soon. Say your goodbyes." Of course my mom would say goodbye. This is not a goodbye.

Oh yeah, in case I didn't mention it, my mom decided to go on tour with us. Woohoo.

"Ro, I'm gonna miss you so much. But I promise I'll be back before you know it so we can finish our COD championships." Michael said, giving her a huge Clifford hug, tears threatening to spill. But he knew better then to start crying, so he walked away before anyone could see.

"Rosie, we'll be talking to you every chance we get, okay? Just make sure Luke doesn't hoard you all to himself. We love you too!" Calum said, trying to lighten up the mood a bit. They hugged as Rose said, "Love you too, Cal Pal."

"Ro Ro Ro your boat," Ashton started. That's what he calls her. "There won't be a single second on this tour that I'm not missing great times on the bus with you. I'm gonna be back soon with plenty of souveniers for you, too. This 8 months will barely feel like 8 months at all." He said, smiling weakly and hugging her. "I'm gonna miss you too Ash. Be careful out there." Rose said, barely smiling. Ashton kissed her on the forehead before walking away with his bag. Tears were already spillling down his cheeks.

And no, I don't get jealous when Ashton kisses her on the forehead. Its like their friendship thing. I know how close they are.

And now its my turn.

"Rose, don't you dare say goodbye. Cause this is no goodbye at all. I'm going to be back soon, and we'll spend every second together." I started.

"I'm gonna miss you.." she started crying.

"Shhh Rosie don't cry." I said, wiping away a single tear rolling down her cheek. "Listen to me. I'm going to be thinking about you the whole time on this trip, and I'm going to be calling you or texting you or whatever every chance I get. There's no way I could forget about you. I won't talk to any other girls, and you have my mom and the rest of the boys to make sure I don't. I love you and only you, and I'm coming back for you. Its only 8 months. Just promise me you'll call me whenever you need anything? No matter what timezone I'm in, I will answer. I'm still gonna be here for you. I love you." I said hugging her as tight as I could.

"I love you too Lukey." She responded, tears still pouring down her skin. I kissed her one last time before waking away with the rest of the boys.

"See you in 8 months, sweetie." My mom yelled as we walked through the airport doors. I looked back one last time and saw her riding away on her skateboard crying.

I can't stand leaving her like this.

Rose's P.O.V. -

The boys just walked through the doors. My last words before they leave me for 8 months..

I have to stay calm. We're still going to talk, and I've got my friends back home who will comfort me. I'll get to spend more time with them.

Time to make sure everything is in the right spot. This has to be perfect.

Their plane is scheduled to leave at 11:30, so I've got a while to spare being that its only 11:00.

All of the posters are in order, and I'm in my right position.

*skip 29 minutes*

Its 11:29, meaning their plane should be taking off in about a minute. I hope they see it.

I looked around one more time before seeing their plane take off...

Luke's P.O.V. -

I've been crying ever since we walked through those doors. I've calmed down a bit, but I'm still missing her like crazy already.

I'm sitting in the window seat in a row with the boys, and my mom has the window seat in the row right behind us.

As we were taking off, I looked down at the airport parking lot and saw something that wasn't just a bunch of parked cars.

There were posters on top of about 20 cars that ended up saying "I love you guys. Have fun! <3" and Rosie was standing next to it waving.

"Holy shit boys, look at this! Mum, do you see this?!" They all looked out the window to see Rosie's plan set out perfectly.

"Luke, you've got yourself a keeper." Ashton said smiling at me.

"I know." I said, looking down one last time at the creation and smiling and waving at Rose, even though she can't see me. I whipped out my phone and snapped a picture before it was all out of sight...

Rose's P.O.V. -

It worked. They saw it!

It was just barely, but I saw them all smiling down at me from their plane window and Luke waved back.

Now, time to start counting down the days till they come back.
