The One To Save You || Luke Hemmings

Chapter 13:

Luke's P.O.V. - 

I'm so glad I suggested that we go to the beach. A whole day with my 4 best friends in the sun, and best of all, Rosie's in a bikini. 

What? I'm still a 16 year old guy. I'm still gonna wanna see her in a bathing suit. 

But anyway, we walked in, and even though Rose was just in a t-shirt and jean shorts, she still looked perfect. 

And there goes my mom ruining the moment. She does that with every moment. 

Rose really seemed to like her though. It made me feel less stressed. When we're dating, I won't have to worry about stressful introductions. 

Then it hit me - Rosie hasn't had a true mom in so many years. That's why she looked at my mother's stupidness with such admiration. I hope we get close so that my mo can act like her alternative mom. Even though my mom is very embarrassing, I still love her and know that she'd be a great alternative mom for Rose. 

Then the boys made that joke. "Stop all the flirting!" I know that it's just the boys and that they joke around a lot, but I hate it when they talk about me and Rosie. I don't want that to be 'some joke'. I want us to be real. 

And I bet I make an even bigger fool of myself when I attemp to flirt with her. As my mom said, I'm not that great with talking to girls. But with Rose, its different. Everything's different. She always has so much fun even though she didn't have the best life before. She encourages all of us to be our best and have fun, too. Ans she's beautiful, yet she's so insecure about herself. I wanna change her life. So I'm going to show her that she really is beautiful, and that it's not some stupid joke. She's amazing. 

Anyway, let's get to the beach. 

Rose's P.O.V. - 

When we stepped out of the car, it was like heaven it me in so many different ways. I heard the waves crashing, I felt the warm sun on my skin, I smelled the salt water, the light beach breeze streamed through my hair, I heard all the boys joking around beside me, and best of all, I felt Luke's arm wrap around me and hold me tight. 

"You ready?" he asked me smiling. He was so esctatic to be here. And so was I. I haven't been to the beach in forever.

"Hell yeah I'm ready!" I yelled as I started running towards the water. "Come on!"

The boys started taking off their shirts and running towards the waves with me. I suddenly remembered that I was still wearing my shirt and shorts, so I pulled those off quickly. 

Soon enough, we were all standing right at the edge of the water, waiting to see who would be brave enough to go in first. 

I looked at Luke standing beside me and God, he had a beautiful body. I admired it and then smiled at him one last time before pushing him into the water.
