The One To Save You || Luke Hemmings

Chapter 34:

Luke's P.O.V.-

You don't even know the worst day of your life is the worst until something bad happens. And that's how my day was.

It was a normal day just like any other; Rose and I woke up and got ready and we found the boys & Jamie (whos been on tour with us for the passed month since Mikey asked her out) running around having a nerf war.

We had a show later on, but we were meeting some fans outside in the morning who had camped over night.

"Thank you so much for coming. It means the world to us..." Ashton starting explaining. It got trailed into a long speech.

We were taking pictures, signing phone cases, recording ringtones, and having a pretty good time. Jamie and Rosie stayed inside.

There was one girl Calum was talking to.

She was absolutely gorgeous and had this perfectly shiny red hair. She was flawless.

They looked like they were flirting it up, so I had to go over and meet this girl.

"Hey Cal." I casually said.

"Hey, Luke. This is Kameryn." She smiled showing pearly white teeth.

"Hello." She said, shaking my hand.

We stood talking to her for a long time while Michael and Ashton were meeting other fans. Calum definitely liked her. Every time she said something, he would giggle and smile and blush like an idiot. But seemed as if Kameryn was constantly staring at me. I saw it out of the corner of my eye. Every time I looked over at her, though, she turned back towards Cal.

I looked down at the time on my phone to check how much longer we had.

We still had 5 hours until the concert started, and Calum must've looked at my phone, too, because he then said, "Kam, would you want to come backstage and hang out with us till the concert starts?"

She smiled wide, looked over at me with a certain gleam in her eye, and said, "Of course. That would be so fun!"

We said hi to a couple more fans before rounding up Michael and Ashton and heading back inside. The doors were going to open soon, anyway.

"Don't touch any of that stuff. If it breaks, you'll have to pay a ton of money for it, and there's video cameras everywhere that'll capture video of you doing it." Cal said as he gave Kameryn a mini-tour of backstage.

"Luke!" I heard from down the hall. I looked up and saw Rosie and Jamie running towards us excitedly.

"Guess who's outside in the audience?!" Jamie yelled.

"Who?" Michael asked, chuckling at their hyperness.

"FUCKING JACK BARAKAT!" Rose jumped.

"WHAT." Michael screamed.

By now, we were all yelling.

"YES!! HE SAID HE WAS EXCITED TO SEE YOU GUYS PERFORM!!"

"THATS AMAZING!" I added.

"So who's the girl?" Jamie asked, motioning her head towards Kameryn.

"That's Kameryn, this girl Cal met outside." Michael explained.

She kept on turning around to see if I was there, then biting her lip and turning back to Calum.

That girl gave me a bad feeling in my stomach.

"She seems really nice." Rose added.

We all played games for the next couple of hours before it was time to get ready for the show.
