Rose's P.O.V. -

I haven't heard her voice in forever. And now that I have, I realize how much I hate it.

"What?" I answered her back, too stunned to say anything else.

"I said, where are you?!" She yelled back into the line.

Tears were already swelling up in my eyes. I hated when she yelled at me. It makes me feel like I'm worthless.

"It's none of your business."

"Yes, it is my business Rose! You're my daughter!" She yelled even louder.

"No real mother would ever treat her own daughter the way you treat me." I said, tears now streaming down my face.

"I can treat you however I want to! I do parenting differently." She laughed at how much she hurt me.

"Well it doesn't matter anymore. I've found people who treat me a lot better than you ever could." I said to her, thinking about the 5sos boys. I love them all so much.

"What, those stupid boys in the band? They don't love you. They just want you for your looks." She said to me. It kinda sounded like a conversation a real mother would have with her daughter after her first breakup.

But my mother is not a real mother, and she's the one breaking my heart.

"No mom. They're important to me, and I'm important to them. You don't know anything." I said obnoxiously, wishing I could just spit in her face.

"Nobody thinks you're important Ro. And the only think that should be important to you is school, which you've clearly been skipping."

But she was wrong.

"You're wrong mom. I have been going to school, and I've been getting better grades than I ever have." I said proudly.

"Well I want you home. You won't last a month out in the world by yourself. You're only 16." She spat.

"I've already lasted 2 weeks, mother. And I'm not coming back home. Not for you to just yell and hurt me even more than you already have."

"Oh yeah?" She said hastily. "If you don't come home, then I will find you, and I will kill you." She said into the phone.

Just then, like he was listening from downstairs, Luke came running up the stairs and bursted into the room.

I looked up at him, makeup running down my face, and handed him the phone. I couldn't hold it.

Luke's P.O.V. -

I could hear Rose crying from downstairs and finally decided to go upstairs and check on her.

She was crying harder than I thought, so I started running towards her room.

When I walked in, she was hysterically crying, and she looked up at me with her big, green eyes. She held the phone out to me.

I sat down next to her and mouthed, 'who is it?' to her so I could fix whatever was going on.

"It's my mom..." She started, then gasped for air as she cried harder. "She said she's going to find me and kill me."

I wasn't going to let that happen.

"Excuse me, Mrs. Tomsen." I said angrily.

"What the fuck do you want?" She answered me back rudely.

No wonder Rosie hated her.

"You shouldn't be treating your daughter like that, and you certainly shouldn't say you'll kill her." I said, trying to calm down to make her less angry.
