The One To Save You || Luke Hemmings

Chapter 14:

Luke's P.O.V. - 

The first thing we did was attemp to set up a campfire since it was already dark outside. We all failed epically. None of us knew how to do it, so Calum's parents had to come and do it for us.

We all sat down and made s'mores. We were all joking around and laughing at each other because we all had marshmallow all over us. That is, until Ashton burnt his finger on a too-hot marshmallow. 

He had to go inside the house to stop it from throbbing, which totally ruins the whole point of us camping outside. But I guess he had to clean up the burn.

Once he came back, we all sat around the fire together and sang songs. I played my guitar quietly so that we could hear each other sing, but I think we all just wanted to hear Rose sing. 

We went through what felt like a hundred songs. We sang songs like 'Jasey Rae' by All Time Low, 'Wake Me Up When September Ends' by Green Day, 'I Miss You' by Blink 182, and our own song 'Gotta Get Out'. It was so much fun. We could've went on for hours if the neighbors hadn't yelled at us for being too loud at 11:30 at night. 

"Well what do we do now?" Calum asked. 

Rose's P.O.V. - 

"Let's tell scary stories!" Michael shouted excitedly. 

To be completely honest, I hate scary things. Movies, stories, even just noises. I can't stand them. But I don't wanna ruin the boys' fun, so I'll have to toughen up for tonight. 

"Don't worry babe, I'm right here. As long as I'm next to you, nothing will happen to you, okay?" Luke told me. He knew how much I hated scary things. That's why he said that. 

"Okayyyy Luke. Thanks." I said smiling and snuggling up to his chest.

"I'll go first!" Calum yelled.

We all got closer to the fire and each other; both because we were scared and because we were cold.

(A/N - Calum's story is based off of a character in American Horror Story. Just saying that so people don't think I'm ripping off AHS. (: )

"So one day, there was this man who was very upset with his girlfriend. He wasn't mentally stable, but he didn't let people know that. But this day, he was so mad, he gave up on hiding it. When his girlfriend wasn't looking, he took a knife stabbed her in the heart, and skinned her alive. Once he'd done it, though, he realized how much he loved her and how much of a mistake that was. So he made a mask out of her skin for him to wear. After that day, he went around killing any girl he saw who reminded him of his girlfriend and he skinned them - alive or not. He was in papers everywhere, and people had given him the name 'Bloody Face'. He went with it; he thought it a nice ring to it. But being Bloody Face was just his side job. During weekdays, he was a physical therapist. Not that it mattered much, since he was still a mass murderer. He never was caught, and people say that him and his son still walk through the streets of Sydney looking for beautiful girls to be his next victims..." Calum finally finished.
