Dhruv was pacing around his main door, waiting for his dad to bless him with his presence. Millions of thoughts were rushing through his mind right now, but there was only this one thought that kept coming back and back, 'Did he had something to do with this? What if he-' Dhruv shook his head and pushed that thought at the back of his mind.
Just then there was a horn at the gate, it was his dad's car. Dhruv stood still he had his hands in his pocket, he looked on the outside, but his insides were raging like a storm. Nonetheless, he remained calm, he knew if had to get his old man talking he had to be calm and patient first.
The car came to a halt at porch in front of the main door, Dhruv stood in front of the main door. The driver came holding his dad's laptop and his briefcase.
"Anwar uncle, I'll take these from here, thank you." Dhruv smiled at Anwar the driver and took his dad's belongings. His dad was talking on the phone and looked at Dhruv with raised eyebrows, it was bit unnatural to see Dhruv do this, given the relation that the father son duo had.
Rajeev ended the call and walked towards the main door and stopped where Dhruv was standing and said quietly to him, "Whatever you're doing I don't have time for this, I have no idea what you're up to this time but I have important work to do."
Dhruv inhaled sharply and said in a cold silky voice, "I assure you the thing that I have for you is very important."
Hearing this Rajeev looked at Dhruv with a cautious look on his face, and both of them went to his study.
"You have ten minutes to start talking about your so called important thing." His dad said.
Dhruv showed his dad the photo of the news paper cutting, his dad's features hardened, his eyes turned cold.
"What are you trying to imply son?" His dad said in a cold voice, emphasizing on son.
"You know why I'm here, and what I want to hear." Dhruv said in a whisper yell voice, his calm was gone, you could see rage in his eyes, but you could also see but behind all that rage, he was scared, his voice wavered a bit.
"What do you want to hear? I think I've already spoken about this matter with you and it is what I told you. I know nothing about it!" Dhruv's father spat angrily and left the study and shut the door with a bang.
Dhruv gripped the study table, his hands had turned white, he tried to calm himself down by taking deep breaths but that didn't seem to work, most of the calming techniques don't usually work when you desperately want them to.
He knew he would get even more irritated if he were to stay in this house, so he stormed out of the house in a fit of rage, and didn't forget to shut the door with a loud bang.
Dhruv ran his fingers through his hair, he was still breathing deeply, he didn't want to lash out at his father, this isn't how he pictured the whole scenario. But it is what it is.
He felt as if he didn't have anyone to talk about this, he didn't know whom should he talk to. He had bottled up his feelings for so long and he felt so hard to keep it all inside him. He just wanted someone to tell him the truth, he had all these bad thoughts rushing through his mind.
He had a somber expression on his face, he wanted no on to see him like this. This was the advantage of living in a big city. In the busy streets of Mumbai nobody had time to look at someone, they were all coping with their own problems, nobody spared a glance at anyone. That was what he wanted.
His phone rang, it is Myra. Dhruv glanced at the mobile and clutched it hard in the hand. He squeezed his eyes shut, his jaw was clenched.
With much difficulty he pick up the phone.
