Dhruv cursed the moment he said yes to Naina. He didn't know whether, he should bang his head somewhere or should strangle these two idiots looking at him. Telling Myra about some of his embarrassing childhood stories was better than this situation.
He knew that Naina was up to no good, his luck was not good with these hill stations and Myra has a record of getting into some trouble or the other. But then again, he was the one who agreed to come in this cold weather with these two idiots. What did he expect? Now his clothes are soaked and his body wouldn't stop shivering.
"GREAT JUST FANTASTIC!" Dhruv muttered under his breath.
"God! Please have some mercy on me now." Dhruv muttered looking at the star filled sky.
"What are you both doing there? Come here and help me up!" He yelled at them.
"I thought you don't want us near you." Naina said rubbing her hands, and smiling wickedly.
Dhruv closed his eyes tried his best to control his temper. He kept saying to himself "Calm down Dhruv, you have to be nice to them. Only they can help you at this moment. Wait until I get out." Dhruv thought looking Myra and Naina and plastered a fake smile on his face.
"I was wrong Naina, please help me." Dhruv said gritting his teeth.
30 minutes earlier
At this Naina smiled at him sweetly.
Fuck! Fuck! After saying 'yes' he instantly regretted it, as a bad feeling washed all over Dhruv.
"Dhruv, I lost my locket, the one you know my grandmother gave me. It fell in the forest please help me out, please." Naina pleaded desperation evident in her voice.
At this Dhruv looked at the sky completely exhausted and after seeing the look on Naina's face he knew it. He couldn't resist that look and knew how much she cherished that locket. He sighed and Naina knew he'd help her.
"Are we going to search the whole forest, like do you know where you think you dropped it?" Myra asked Naina.
Searching the whole forest?! This better not be the case. Dhruv thought and covered his face with his hands.
"No, we don't have to search the whole forest. When we got over with the hiking and went to take snacks. I know at that time, it was still on my neck. I think I dropped it when we were nearly about to reach." Naina said her brows knitted in concentration.
Thank God. Dhruv thought at this his shoulders relaxed a little.
"We'll find it no matter what. So don't worry ok?" Myra said rubbing circles on Naina's back.
Naina nodded.
But he had to worry because since, going out with these two didn't feel such a good idea, not at all.
"Let's go guys." Naina said.
Dhruv and Myra followed her into the woods.
The three of them walked closely looking around using their flashlights. Owls were hooting in the distance with small animals making rustling noise with each noise the three was of them jumped. The forest had started to appear more creepy and haunted than it really was.
The silence was deafening, the air was filled with nervousness Myra decided to break the tense atmosphere and said
"Dhruv what happened in Manali? Why don't you like this place?"
Dhruv looked at Myra with a face that said 'Seriously?'
"Is the best thing, you could say at this time?" Dhruv said looking at her with a blank look.
