Chapter 12

*Magic*

Elmer has been living his life at the top, so high than ever before. His life is much fun and he actually got friends he can count on, sneak out with, have fun just doing staff that is fun. Elmer has never had this much fun like he is having with Bert and Ernest, they are like three peas in a pot. Where you find Bert is exactly where you find Ernest and Elmer, the cycle is unending, Elmer meets the queen like it is normal, the king is always busy and Elmer has only met him twice but as the royals he has been sweet and nice and kind.

Elmer can never trade the life he has now with anything else because he is happy. He feels like he belongs for the first time in his life, no one takes him as the cursed child. Being the outsider who preferred his own company than actually having to deal with people, now he is around people and it is fun. Bert proves himself that he isn't cold hearted as Elmer had thought before, he is actually a messy person who messes up, never finishes anything and knows how to embarrass himself occasionally.

On several occasions Elmer has had to witness Bert embarrass himself so bad his magic couldn't wipe the moment away. One time they were at the dining table eating 'Elmer is allowed at the table' not with the king though. Just the queen, Bert wanted to get a glass of juice but instead he knocked over Ernest's glass pouring juice into his food then adding to the embarrassment Bert, was moving so fast to stop the juice from pouring into his trousers when he knocked over the table pouring food allover himself in the process.

Accidents happen but Bert is just full of those, sometimes Elmer doesn't want to laugh at Bert but the queen and Ernest make it hard for him as they both burst out laughing that Elmer just couldn't hold it in too. Bert is just hopeless every time, Elmer has also noticed the way Ernest looks at Bert. Usually Bert doesn't notice but ever since the flower incident Elmer has been on edge and the way Ernest looks at Bert is just full of love. Elmer thought Ernest loves Lady Rylee and that is how he acts, like he is in love with her but then again there is a way he just looks at Bert that makes Elmer doubt, it doesn't matter to Elmer, they are both his friends and even if their is a law against same sex relationships, Ernest is the prince laws can turn for him "At least that is what Elmer thinks'

"Watch out" Elmer tried warning Bert who was going to walk into a wall but it was too late as Bert walked straight into it falling back and into the plants, Elmer ran over to him "Are you okay?" Elmer asked pulling him up

"Ugh" Bert groaned holding his hand "I think I dislocated my shoulder" Bert groaned, so stupid of him to ogle over Elmer forgetting about where he was going, he just can't help it when the guy is so hot in his in garment looking hot with gloves.

"Do you need help?" Bert shook his head no, he has been staring at Elmer's chest. He didn't button his two buttons and they are doing a great job distracting Bert from everything that even the pain in his shoulder just disappeared, Elmer is so tall, broad shoulders, with nice biceps that show he works a lot. His skin just makes Bert go out of his mind, Bert just reached his shoulders with a lean body based on Elmer's "Bert"

"Oh" Bert mumbled his face turning red, he forgot to heal himself ogling over Elmer. Bert first focused on his shoulder relocating it back into its original place "I came to invite you out"

"I hope it is not horse back riding, I have made it clear that isn't my place" Bert and Ernest had forced him to try it out again and this time without Bert controlling the horse, Elmer didn't spend a minute up before he was thrown down, they forced him to try again and he got the same result, that is something he doesn't want to try again ever.

"It's not that, just go get ready and meet me at the gate" Elmer nodded walking back to his quarters, he took a short shower, changed out his clothes into the clean ones then made his way to the gate as Bert had instructed. He turned up and he found Bert already waiting for him, they walked up to the horse stables and Elmer was about to get angry but they passed it going up the mountain, going as high as they could closer to the river.

"Is the prince already there"

"No, Ernest had to go see his future wife for a few weeks"

"Aren't you his protector, shouldn't you have gone with him"

"First of all, I am protector in training, my dad is his official protector until I catch up to it" Elmer was about to ask shouldn't Bert have gone to practice while actually doing it but then something caught his eyes. In the distance is a picnic basket, a clothe laid down "Come on" Bert called.

"What is this?"

"What do you think, lunch duh" Bert replied with a smile taking a sit, Elmer joined too. He didn't know they were coming up for lunch, why would they need to come all this way for lunch when they could just eat from the castle.

"Why didn't we eat back at the castle?"

"Because I wanted some alone time with you" Bert confessed opening up the basket, Elmer has noticed the things Bert says and if he didn't know better he would say Bert has a crush but he knows better and no one can ever have a crush on him "And I wanted you to taste what I learnt and tell me how it tastes" Bert pulled out a bottle filled with milk, he poured some in a cup before handing it to Elmer "Tell me what you think?"

Elmer tasted the milk and it tastes like usual milk "What do you mean made?"

"With magic, I have been practicing for a while and I want to see if I have succeeded perfecting it" Elmer tasted the milk, Bert brought out more food laying it all down, fish, bread, cheese.

"This is a lot"

"I want to make you fat" Bert smiled picking up a piece of bread taking it to Elmer's lips "Open up" Elmer hesitantly opened his mouth tasting the bread and unlike the milk this tasted better, it had a certain  flavour to it plus it was soft "How is it?"

"So good" Elmer picked up more bread putting it in his mouth as Bert stared at him with a smile "It's good taste it too" Elmer picked up a piece feeding it to Bert "I have never asked but how does this magic staff work" Elmer asked still enjoying his food

"Everyone has magic"

"If I did I would have noticed" Elmer said leaning into his hands staring at Bert. All he knows is that only the Greene family has magic.

"You might not believe me but it's there, just hard to Chanel, I can show you" Elmer nodded wiping his hands, knowing full well it won't work because he isn't a witch and not everybody can be a witch. Bert got up getting behind him, taking Elmer's hands "Focus on me and my body"

Elmer tried but Bert is so close that his breath is hitting his neck making his skin heat up for some reasons "Are you focusing" Elmer wasn't, he doesn't know what happened but his head was somewhere he didn't know "Just focus on my body, my hands and my skin" Elmer nodded but he just can't focus and he doesn't know why "Close your eyes, focus on your breathing, don't just focus listen to it, block everything out and listen you will be able to hear your heart" Elmer was getting destroyed by the voice, his head went blank his body relaxing, his body was so relaxed that he could feel everything in his body move and most importantly he could hear his heart.

His body was so calm, things swimming in his stomach, his skin so relaxed. Elmer focused so much he felt his pants tighten up and that pulled him out of his trance, he gasped sitting up pulling himself out of Bert's touch "Did you feel it?" Elmer nodded turning around to see the tent in his pants. He didn't feel it, all he felt was Bert's body on his and that did something

"We should go back"

"But we have just got here and you didn't try my cake"

"Maybe later" Elmer got up running out of there before Bert could say anything, he feels so embarrassed for that, it wasn't meant to do that, it was for him to Chanel his inner magic not get hard. Elmer doesn't know what happened but he wishes for it to never happen again.
