Elmer stopped walking glancing up in the sky with a sigh. His only hope is that this might not be as bad as he expects it to be, maybe he will be able to handle it. He was able to handle it before, maybe he might will be able to handle this too "Just breathe, it will be fine" Bert comforted. Elmer sure hoped so. They walked out of the forest re-entering the town again, Elmer thought words will be thrown his way but none came.

In matter of fact no one looked his way or gave him a stinky eye. They just utterly ignored him like he didn't exist giving Elmer some comfort that this will be fine, if they don't acknowledge him then it won't be that bad "See, not bad" Bert said nudging him with a smile, Elmer nodded sighing in relief as he feels like the worst was done "Plus people forget quiet quickly"

Elmer doesn't know about that, no one forgot about him being thrown at Margaret's door when he was young. No one forgot about the guy that raped a girl, people don't forget they just sometimes keep it insides. They walked back to the castle, this time they didn't ignore him but they sure glanced at him before going back to their work. Elmer felt even more relieved than before as they made their way to his chambers. His roommates bed was gone, it looked like he was going to be staying in the room alone "Did he leave because of-"

"Think positively" Bert cut him off when he saw what Elmer was overthinking about this "More space and privacy"

"Yeah, you're right" he should think positively, he took a sit on the bed trying to think positively about this, nothing has happened so far so this is good.

"There is another party tonight, I need to go back home but I will see you tonight" Elmer nodded, Bert walked to the bed hugging Elmer tightly "If you need anything I will be here" Bert said before walking out of the room. Elmer stayed in his head looking at the empty bed space, wondering why his roommate moved out today of all days. It has to be because of what happened earlier, Elmer got up not wanting to be in his head any longer as it will make him over think about the reasons that will get him down again. He hasn't seen his mother since the court and he wonders where she is, Elmer shrugged when he figured she might be with Della or maybe she had gone back home.

Elmer wonders if Margret got humiliated for what happened and maybe she decided to leave. That could also be a possibility that Elmer hadn't thought about, he might lose his mother over this- "Well, well, well, if it isn't Elmer the thief" Elmer wasn't surprised to say the least, Samuel has hated him before this incident and Elmer expects nothing more after what happened "Did you enjoy all that food, I bet it was your first time seeing that much food. Too bad it wasn't shoved down your throat" Samuel mocked looking around the room "I see your roommate moved out, why wouldn't he, to stay with you I would rather get my eyebrows cut out"

Elmer didn't reply, even when Samuel knocked over his staff saying 'Ops' As if it was an accident "Did your....what ever you use not work for you today. To help you get out of another theft. Manipulating is your best suit, acting all nice to get the attention from the royals, nice to see you have been given Something that you finally deserve" The mockery in Samuel's voice could be heard from far away.

"What do you want?" Elmer finally asked.

"Don't flutter yourself, I would never want anything from you" Samuel said with a laugh pulling Elmer's drawers open letting them fall down "You have nothing valuable and your stupid reputation has also crumbled just like your stupid pathetic life. I pity your mother, the poor woman was crying over her stupid useless-"

"Don't talk about my mother"

"You wish she was your mother, what made you think you will be someone when your REAL parents didn't want you in the first place" Elmer got up anger in his eyes storming over Samuel ready to punch him "I see you want to become violent too, a thief and a violent monster. That will surely ruin the little reputation you think you still have, if I were you I would just jump off of the cliff and end that useless life of yours" Elmer doesn't know why he deserves such words, he walked over to the bed sitting down "No one has ever loved you, why are you still alive"

Elmer listened very closely to everything Samuel said, he fights to not let words get to him but there is enough to what a person can say and in this moment Elmer is fighting everything in his eyes to not cry as he feels he is about to do. What hurt Elmer the most is about his mother, he is not biologically in the family and he has managed to put shame on their family, embarrass them on how he is a thief. The family that has helped him and this is how he repays them, Elmer knows they will never want to see him ever again "I will be keeping my eye on you so that you won't steal from anyone"

The minute Samuel walked out Elmer let his tears fall down not having control. Samuel's words hurt but the fact that his parents might not want him hurt the most.

After washing up and having a little rest Elmer has to start his kitchen duty today, and where that came from, he doesn't know. He thought the humiliation was bad enough for this to be over but no, the kitchen job also stays. He walked out of his room, passed through their chambers and to the kitchen, a place he never visits offtenly.

He could hear them talking loudly from all the way to the kitchen and they seemed to be in a good mood even when it is a busy day. Elmer breathed in hard hoping he doesn't face another Samuel like before, he wishes that he stayed on his flower job, that way he would have been good, doing something he wants even if he was alone but they had to add the kitchen job where most of the servants stay, this giving Elmer a small chance to be alone. After a few seconds of just holding the door he finally got the courage to open it.

If they were happy before they sure as hell weren't happy to see him at the silence the consumed the kitchen at his entrance. Elmer stood there awkwardly with everyone's eye on him, it felt like forever when they all went back to work now ignoring him all at once like he has suddenly disappeared. He knew he couldn't stand at the door all day, he has to get something to do and what needed his help so he made his way to Oda, the head cook "Ah, hi. Ah what do I have to do" Elmer asked nervously softly tapping the table he was holding with his eyes dancing around the room.

Oda got her eyes from what she was doing staring at Elmer with her hand on her waist "Don't you see we are very busy" Oda said getting everyone's attention again, Elmer can see that she is busy but he just needs to know how he can help.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to-" Elmer got cut off when Oda put her hand up silencing him before he could finish what he was saying.

"I have a job for you" Elmer nodded, that is what he wanted to know "I need you to go into the storage room and count how many potatoes we have in each sack" Everyone in the kitchen snickered but Elmer is asking himself if that is a thing

"The number of sacks" Elmer questioned to clarify what she was saying, she couldn't have meant the number in one sack

"I mean how many are in one sack" Oda confirmed confusing Elmer, it felt like she was implying he counts each potato one by one which is impossible to do.

"But that is...." He trailed off when all eyes moved to him again, he moved his eyes back to Oda "That is kind of impossible to do" Counting potatoes is impossible and kind of pointless, Elmer thinks it is a joke being played on him.

"We do it, if you can't then maybe I should inform that to the king and tell him how you don't want to work" Elmer didn't question more as he walked backwards nodding "Try not to steal them" Everyone laughed taking it as a joke which wasn't. Elmer turned around walking out of the kitchen using the back door which leads to the food store. Elmer hates the fact that he is being taken as someone who I going to just take anything he puts his hand on, he isn't a thief. He opened the store room in anger letting it harshly close behind him, he hates his life, he hates this but somehow he has nothing to do about it.

He walked over to the first sack cutting it open before taking a sit on the ground starting to count hoping he will be able to remember all the numbers or add them and get the right one, he doesn't know if he could count that many numbers. He hadn't counted even a quarter of the first sack when the door clicked "Is someone there?" Elmer asked staring at the door but he got no reply "Hello" he called getting up walking to it only to find it locked "Hey, open the door" he called knocking while trying to open it, he banged on it hoping for someone to hear him and open it.
