"Atlas, we need to talk" Bert said reaching his brother, who nodded getting out of the crowd following Bert back to his room "I am not leaving him"

"What are you talking about?" Atlas asked confused.

"Elmer" Bert pointed out "I know you know about me and him. You mean, soo much to me Atlas and I would really appreciate it if you tried to understand me, this isn't wrong as it is taken to be, we love each other, I love him"

"You can never say something like that about another man" Atlas snapped not believing what his brother is talking about, there was no understanding this, it is disgusting "He is crowding you with his cursed ways, he is cursed Bert. That is what cursed children do, I wouldn't mind about what he does, he is what he is but involving you in such a disgusting habit is completely unacceptable and I will kill him"

"I put him in this, he didn't do anything because I have been like this ever since I was born. My attraction to men has increased throughout the years, Elmer isn't like me. He fell in love with me but I have to be blamed for putting him into this habit not him"

"You are not like that, you are a Greene and Greene's don't do that" Atlas towered over Bert glaring at him so hard his eyes turned green "Tell him to stay away from you or I am going to kill him" Atlas threatened before getting out banging the door behind. Bert sighed knowing that there was only one thing left to do, if his brother couldn't accept him then who else will and if he lets this get out, everyone will be pointing fingers at Elmer blaming him for everything. Bert needed to save Elmer from all of this before it could get out of hand.

"The queen wants to see you" A servant told Elmer, Elmer got out of the bathrooms that he was cleaning after washing his hands "She is in the royal laundry room" Elmer nodded walking over to the royal laundry room that is just down the next hall. Elmer knocked before getting inside to find Hattie standing there, he bowed greeting her but she didn't turn to look at him.

"Did you know that my son, the only one I have, my one son" Hattie turned around "Ernest, is about to be made king next month"

"Yes your majesty" Elmer kept his face to the ground keeping his feelings at bay, he has nothing to do about that and the way Hattie said it made it clear that Hattie has never wanted Elmer and she never will. The only son she sees is Ernest, Elmer is not sad about that because Ernest is a great guy that deserves everything, even the love of there mother. Even though the love can't be shared with Elmer.

"I don't want you here by the time that happens" Elmer snapped his head up wondering why "If you have any plans inside that head of yours to try and stop that from happening I will kill you, I need you gone before you try and sabotage my SON'S happiness and destiny. Now that we are clear get back to whatever stupid thing you do with your pathetic life, you are a disappointment as I expected. Too bad she didn't kill you" Hattie sighed looking at him from head to toe "Such an embarrassment, pity"

Elmer didn't turn or move, he just stayed in his place hearing her shoes hit the floor as she walked out. Elmer stared at his hands that are shaking as he tried breathing in an out but that still didn't help the tears from falling out of his eyes. He wiped them away in anger tired of crying all of the time, so sick of himself that he stormed out of the laundry room wanting to be alone which would have happened if he didn't walk into Atlas who was fuming "I told you to stay away from my brother" Atlas threatened with a green light in his hand threatening to kill Elmer

"I am sick and tired of everyone having a problem with me, if you don't want me kill me, just kill me. It will make things better" Elmer cried just sick and tired, if Atlas wanted him to stay away from Bert then he should just kill him, that will be the only way he will stay away from Bert. Atlas retracted his magic taking a step away from Elmer "If you can't kill me just don't take away the one person that is keeping me alive" Why can't anyone just understand him.

Atlas has never seen so much pain in someone's eyes, so much sadness like the world was weighing down on him. All the anger Atlas was feeling turned into concern, Atlas knows Elmer is cursed and the universe might be punishing him for his ways but did anyone deserve to be in such pain "Please, don't take him away from me" Elmer begged one time before turning around not caring if Atlas hurts him, he just doesn't want to let go of Bert 'Is that too much to ask?'

Elmer walked back in the bathrooms breaking down again, it got too much for him again. Elmer isn't looking for a new mother because he knows Hattie will never see him as such but is a little care too much for him to get, what did he do to be facing so much hatred in his life. So much rejection....Elmer wiped his eyes staring in space when he remembered that Bert is still with him, he didn't leave him, he is still around. Maybe when Bert leaves that is when Elmer will lose ever hint of hope...... No, Elmer promised Bert he will not let words get to him and he should trust Bert that he will never leave him

Elmer got up finishing up with his cleaning, went to the storage, took out the food that was needed, cleaned the kitchen, the servants quarters and he was still getting all of the dirty laundry when someone whispered in his ear "Need any help" An automatic smile appeared on Elmer's lips from hearing Bert's voice, Elmer turned towards Bert biting his lip finding Bert so handsome, he wanted to kiss him but they were in the servants quarters, anyone could pass by "I missed you" Bert said getting closer to Elmer not leaving space between them.

Elmer shuddered at the heat Bert was emitting, the way he smelled attacking Elmer's nose forgetting how to breath. He was ready to pull Bert into a kiss when suddenly Bert moved back creating distance, Elmer looked around to find Logan passing through, he had forgotten where they were "So, um. Do you know how to wash?" Elmer asked holding the laundry basket towards Bert.

"You didn't even say if you missed me or love me, you're straight on giving me chores, good to know what you need me for" Bert complained but still took the basket in his hands. Elmer smiled picking up the other basket as they made their way out of the servants quarters to the servants laundry quarters.

"I missed you" Elmer finally whispered as they walked into the laundry room where they started washing clothes while spilling water on themselves playing a round until it became a water fight, they spent the next hours redoing the same clothes as they also got involved in the water fight they were having the entire time but neither of them complained because they were doing it together, messing up together and that is all that mattered.

Each other's company and the love they have for the other.
