In the kingdom of Felstead, giving birth to more than one child in one birth is taken as a curse. The children have to be killed instantly to get rid of the curse before it spreads.
What will happen when the queen of Felstead gives birth to the heir...
"Elmer, wake up" Della called lifting Elmer's head, Elmer opened his eyes to find his aunt "We need to leave now" Della whispered pulling Elmer into a sitting position that earned her a pained cry "What?" Della lifted Elmer's shirt to find a big Purple bruise on his back "This is bad, you are going to need a healer but we don't have time for that, we will see what we can do when we reach"
"Where are we going?"
"Let us focus on getting out of here first" Della said putting Elmer's hand over his shoulder but that made Elmer groan in pain.
"We should use this side" Elmer's shoulder was swollen he feels like it might fall of any time now. Della used the other shoulder picking Elmer up, she walked him out of the cell to find all of the guards are a sleep. Elmer didn't ask anything as they limped into the small passage way
"I know your in pain but we need to hurry up" Della advised, Elmer should bear the pain and let them sprint out of here before anyone notices he is missing. Elmer tried to bite his lip to bare the pain as he increased his pace trying to take in all the pain. Encouraging himself that if he gets caught someone else is going to write his destiny but if he escapes this kingdom, he will start new and get to write his own destiny, he will be able to make everyone pay, everyone that was a cause of a tear in Elmer's life is going to pay.
This encouraged Elmer to walk faster, he needs to leave this place. He has to leave this place "Hey, stop" Someone yelled behind them, they hadn't made it far and they have been already spotted, soon the entire kingdom is going to be going against them.
"Run" Della said making Elmer run, Elmer forgot about his pain, if he gets caught there is no hope for him, Ernest will win as he has been doing all a long. Elmer couldn't risk getting caught he sprinted into the forest as fast as he could, he has been in the kingdom long enough to know some places but when running, the adrenaline kicks in and you forget where you are supposed to cut and where you are supposed to go.
Elmer looked back and his aunt has slowed down "Aunt, we need to go" Elmer said stopping going back to her.
"No, I won't make it" Della said breathing heavily "You go, run as far away from here as possible and never come back, promise me"
"We will talk about it later, right now we need to leave" they had to go, Elmer pulled his aunt's hand pulling her as they resumed running. The guards were on their tail throwing arrows there way, Elmer changed the course they were going turning right to avoid the arrows. Elmer ran not letting go of his aunt, not even once all of the pain in his body had become determination, he was going to escape this place. Elmer would rather die now than ever be taken back to that place but now he has to keep his aunt safe, she risked her life to save him.
An arrow passed over Elmer's head, Elmer turned to find the guards close by. They were catching up "Elmer go, leave me" Della said when she saw them reach s cliff, if Elmer doesn't leave they will both die.
"I am not leaving you" Elmer wasn't leaving, her. They were both getting out of here together. Della's hand suddenly fell out of Elmer's hand and when Elmer turned his aunt was laying face down with an arrow on her back "Aunt" Elmer moved back, shaking his aunt "Aunt Della" Elmer called shaking her but she was already dead "No, please, no. Wake up"
"Don't move" The guards ordered, they were all standing next to Elmer pointing arrows, spears and swords at his head. Elmer glared at them feeling so much anger inside as he crawled away from them and his aunt's body "He looks like a lost puppy" one if the guards joked making the rest laugh
"I am going to kill you" Elmer threatened taking in all of their faces. He doesn't know who shot the arrow but whoever it was they were all dead. She knew nothing and they have just ended her life with no particular reason.
"All of you stand down" Bert's voice was heard from behind them, they all put their weapons down "Sorry for your loss" Bert said staring at Della "But this is your fault, if you didn't involve her maybe she would have been alive now"
"She had nothing to do with this and they killed her" Elmer pointed at the guards standing up from the ground. The anger he is feeling inside, he wants to rip them apart one by one until there was nothing to recognize.
"It's their job" Elmer stared at Bert, he shouldn't be the one saying that. It's their job when they have just murdered a fifty year old woman "Cuff him and this time I will be the one to watch him until his execution day"
"Don't come near me" Elmer warned taking a step back "I won't hesitate to jump, if any of you get close" Elmer was not ready to get killed by them. He would rather choose to take his life than have anyone choose it for him. If he is to die, it will be at his own pace even if it is the last decision he makes.
"Stand down" Bert warned stopping the guards
"I said don't get close" Elmer warned looking back, it is so far and he will be falling in trees which gives him a much less chance to survive. Elmer closed his eyes breathing hard, his heart pounding in his chest, he didn't know that one day he will be deciding his death like this.
"Elmer don't" Bert warned with his arms up in the air "Do you want to die from a nasty jump like that"
"I am going to die either way, the only difference is I am going to choose this for myself"
"Elmer please, don't do this. I love you so much, don't do it" Bert was getting scared by the minute, the more Elmer stepped back. He looked willing to jump off if this Clif "Just take my hand, I promise to hold you forever"
"Do you promise" Bert nodded holding his hand out. Elmer's hand was about to reach Bert's when an arrow came out of nowhere passing through Elmer's heart. Elmer was so close on the cliff that when the arrow hit him, he fell right off and Bert was unable to hold him before he could go
"ElMER NOOOOOOOOOO"
