Chapter 31: Kpop's new MC

Hey guys it has been a whole. Sorry I have a lot of things going on with school right now. I graduate next month so everything is coming at me in full swing. However, I am back with another chapter for you lovely readers. So. let's get into the chapter, shall we?

Jay-Kobe's Pov

Having ADD had its benefits and downsides. The upside is it helped me when trying to create new songs. However, when it comes to paying attention it sucked so much.  I am currently in my room trying to think of stuff to say at the performance show with Yoseob Hyung tonight. I was a little nervous because we will be talking with other idol groups about concepts and songs before they perform. Not that I should be worried because I know some groups, but overstressing is a bad habit of mine.

     "Hey Jay-Kobe the guys and I are going out for a bit," I hear Angel say from outside my door.

     "Ok, do not be out too long. We have the show to go to later tonight."

     "Got it, boss man."

I chuckle as he walked away from my door with the boys. My brother was not here either because he was out with EXO helping them. As for Sunny he was at school and is going to spend the night with a friend. He had made more friends lately and it made me happy. Not knowing what to do I start to vacuum and clean the doom. I like to keep things clean and having messy members did not help much. After cleaning my phone pinged with a message from the CEO.

CEO Bang: Jay-Kobe tonight will be your first time co-hosting the show. Head to one of our stylists to get a haircut and new color. Pick a color you have not done before.

I was planning on getting a haircut anyway. This long hair had been growing for over a year now and is getting annoying. At first, I liked it, and because my mom hated it grown out. Now it was really annoying when I was taking a shower or when it is windy. After a quick shower, I head out of the dorm to the stylist. Walking over to the lady she has a warm smile on her face.

     "Mr. Park, what do we want to do to your hair?"

I think back to how I used to do my hair. "Short on the sides please and spike the bangs up, please. I want to do pink hair dye for my hair."  

     "Alright."

She started to cut my hail while I was on my phone. About ten minutes go by and I look up. She did a good job. I looked like a different person. I decide to make a post in Instagram to show the fans my new haircut and color. 

After the picture, I decided to head to the local Starbucks and get some coffee. I needed to get some cafe in this body to stay awake. Walking in I am his with the strong aroma of expensive prised coffee. "Excuse me, can I get a caramel frappuccino please?"

     "Comming right up. Anything elts for you today sir?"

     "No that will be all." I pay for the coffee and take a seat by the window. I was so involved in my coffee  I did not notice someone sat in the other chair at my table. I look up to see it was BamBam Hyung. "Hey Hyung." He takes off his scarf and his mask.

     "Jay-Kobe funny to run into you here."

     "I agree. First at the mall yesterday and now here. I am starting to think you are starting to follow me," I say with a grin.

     "Oh please don't flatter yourself. I came to get the member's coffee. Like your hair by the way, why cut it?"

Taking another drink of coffee I set it down. "I have been wanting to get it cut for a while now. The CEO texted me and suggested I get it cut because I am co-hosting the award show tonight. Hw told me to pick a new color too, I have not tried pick yet, so why not."

     "Yea I like it. Short hair seems to suit you more. Speaking about CEOs, I heard you snapped at JYP not too long ago right?"

     "Yea, he wanted my group to leave HYPE and sign with him instead. As you heard I was not on board with his idea." 

Thinking about it not I should have been more respectful. Oh well, nothing that can be done now. "What is Got7 doing right now?"

     "Since we are no longer enter JYP we are doing solo activities for now."

We chatted for another hour about several things until we had to go. I wished him a farewell and parted ways.  I want to know what either group I will meet at the show. Hopefully, I will get to talk to some great artists.

Time skip.

I arrived at the arena for tonight's show. Walking in I see hundreds of seats and tables for the idols and a section for the fans.

     "Jay-Kobe over here!"

I look to see Yoseob Hyung motioning me to the staging area. I follow him backstage and get placed on a chair. Suddenly people start doing my make-up.

     "We go live soon. Where were you?"

     "Sorry Hyung, traffic was backed up, and could not find the place, "I said rubbing the back of my neck.

     "Well, at least you made it here in time. Unrelated question for you. I saw your post on Instagram. You looked tired. That was not that too long ago. How are you so awake now?"

     "I guess 'Cause your like a caffeine' and I am awake now."

     "If you are going to quote my song, make it funny, please. The delivery was decaffeinated hahaha. When you are done and chanced meet me in the next room where we are going to start."

I cringed at his joke. Soon enough my hair and make-up were done and I went to change into the clothes given. I was given a red suit to wear to match my pink hair. I make it out of the room and meet Yoseob Hyung.

     "Looking sharp Jay-Kobe. You ready"

     "Let's do this." We are given earpieces and mics with our stage names on them. The cameraman started to count until we were live.

     "Hello, I am Yoseob from Highlight."

     "And I am Jay-Kobe from Pandemic. We are going to be your hosts for the show tonight. We have a lot of performances tonight right Yoseob?"

     "That is right Jay-Kobe. Twice, BTS, The Boyz, and Seventeen with many more will be here tonight. First, we have Ateez to talk to."

Ateez then walked into the room. 

     "Eight makes one team. Hello, we are Ateez."

I started talking first. "We are really excited to see you guys perform. With songs like Wonderland and Wave Ateez shows the energy they have with every song they perform. I am sure tonight will be no different."

     "Thank you Jay-Kobe. Our group tries to challenge itself and create something new each time," said Hongjoong.

     "Do not go anywhere, folks. Ateez performing Wonderland is comming up!"

Time skip.

After the last group performed Yoseob and I said farewell to the Tv audience. Tired from working all day I headed home with my group in the van. The next few days were going to be stressful.
