Chapter 30: Quality Time

Hey sorry, it has been over a week. All my classes are in full swing and I have been busy. We hit over 800 reads since the last chapter!! I know Big Hit changed their company name to HYPE so I will be using that name from now on. Thank you all for reading this story. Let's get into the chapter, shall we?

Jay-Kobes Pov

After singing at Singing Battle Sunny and I walked to the car. I wanted to spend some time with Sunny because Pandemic has been so busy with practice and other activities. Seeing as it is noontime I head to a local sushi restaurant to get us some food. Neither of us ate today and needed food. On the drive 1.2.3. by B.I.G played on the radio. I started to get into the song while driving. 

     "You are so crazy Appa. Like the song?"

I turn to face him when we stopped at a red light. "What gave it away. The singing and dancing I was doing?" He laughed as the light turned green. "You hungry Sunny?"

     "Yea I could go for some food right now."

     "Good, because we are heading to get some sushi. After that, we are going shopping and then to an arcade."

     "Sounds like fun!"

I am glad to see him happy. To think he was bullied and alone and now has a family and Hyungs who love and care for him. He used to be shy and skittish and now Sunny is open and has come out of his shell. Making a right we arrive at the sushi place and  I find a place to park. I grabbed the wig that was in the car and placed it on before leaving the car. I always kept a wig in the car in case I forgot my mask when going in public.  Walking into the restaurant we are greeted by a host.

     "Are you waiting on more people sir or is it just you two?"

     "Just the two of us miss."

She grabbed two menus and led us to the table. I take my time looking at the menu and decide I will get the California roll with a Coke Zero. I look at Sunny who's eyebrows are knitted. "Having trouble deciding on what you want?"

     "Yea, we do not eat sushi often."

A couple of minutes later the waiter came to take our orders. Sunny ended up getting some spring rolls and water. Sunny was on his phone and I pulled out mine looking at Twitter. At the top of my feed was an amusement from Yoseob-Hyungs agency All-Around entertainment. Highlight was going to be having their first comeback in two years! I was very excited to hear this because they got me into Kpop when they wear Beast. 

     "Here is your food sirs," the waiter said placing the food down and we started to eat. After eating I paid for the bill and headed to the car with Sunny.

     "Hey, Appa do you think we could stop by Yoseob Hyungs dorm? It had been a while since we saw Highlight."

     "Funny you say that Sunny. I was thinking that myself. Did you hear they are going to have a comeback soon?"

     "Yea it has been a while since I hear a new song from them."

I decide to text Yoseob about coming over.

Jay-Kob: Hey Hyung are you and Highlight busy today?

Yoseob: No, why what's up?

Jay-Kobe: Sunny wanted to know if we could come over later. We are at the mall right now.

Yoseob: Yea sure I do not see why not.  

I place the phone in my pocket and start to drive. It was not long before making it to the mall. There was some new equipment I wanted to get for my studio. Sunny also wanted to get some more clothes for his upcoming shoot. First, we head to a Gucci store to get a few shirts and choose. After that, we go to Forever21 because it has all my amine merch. I may be an idol but I love anime. This is where I got my signature Tokyo Ghoul mask.

     "Appa I am going to go to some other stores. Do not wait up for me."

     "Ok be safe. Meet me back here when you are done."

     "Will do Appa." 

I let him go to the other stores while I look around. After getting a few things I head to the register to pay for my things. 

     "Wait aren't you Jay-Kobe from Pandemic?"

I try no to panic as I come up with something. "No sorry, you must be mistaken." Lucky she does not think into it too much. I head to a music store and buy a new soundboard and some speakers before heading to sit down. Scrolling on my phone I did not notice someone sit next to me.

     "You need to get a better disguise Jay-Kobe."

Looking to my left I see BamBam from Got7. "Hey Hyung what brings you here?"

     "Just wanted to get out a little. Since the members are doing their own thing. What about you?"

     "Oh, I am here with Sunny. We are spending some time together," I replied.

     "I heard you are going to MC with Yoseob at the show tomorrow."

     "I have never been an MC before."

     "Well, I am sure you will do great. It was nice talking to you Jay-Kobe. I have to go."

I wave to BamBam as he walks away. Sunny walks up to me with some bags in his hands. "Ready to go?" 

     "Yep, let's go. Can we head to Highlights dorm and skip the arcade?"

     "Sure, let's go." I get the bags and we head to the car to Highlight's dorm. We make it to All Around Entertainment and walk into the building to look for the dorm. Finding the door we knock and wait for it to open.

     "Hey you two, come on in," Doonjoon Hyung said opening the door for us.

We walk in a take our shoes off slipping on house slippers. Sunny and I follow him into the living room where the other members are watching tv.

     "Jay-Kobe. Sunny how are you guys. Feels like we never see you," said Gikwang Hyung.

I sat down on the couch as they talked more.

     "Well Yoseob has seen him seen him the most if we are technical, Doonwoon Hyung said.

     "It is not his flat guys, You all always seem to be busy doing other activists or something when I see Yoseob Hyung. It is once to see all of you guys. I mean you are my first biased group after all." 

     "I heard you guys are going to be having a comeback next month. I am so excited it has been two years. Why has it been so long if you don't mind me asking."

     "We have had a lot going on I guess. We did have to do our military service," Yoseob said.

Sunny played the Wii with the other members and Yoseob went to get some food. After a few hours of playing games and chatting, I decided it was time to go. "By Yoseob Hyung I will see you at the show."
