Yoooo look who's not dead, me! It's been like over a month but oh well. I've chilled out on my upload schedule for the final Dirk Gently book, so I finally have time to update these again. I'm really sorry for lowkey just dipping, but I'm back now :)

We're nearly at half a million reads which is insane btw! I love you all so much. Anyway, according to Wattpad statistics, less than 10% of my readers are in the discord server. So if you wanna join and come chat with everyone, click the link in my bio, it's super chill over there, I'm active like everyday. Without further ado, let's get into it!

MCYT: Eret

Minecraft or Irl: Minecraft

Pronouns: She/Her, I'm gonna do more non binary and male reader oneshots in the future dw. And also, if anyone wants to request some neo-pronouns, I can try that too! I'm not wholly secure on how to use 'em, but I'll give it a shot.

Partly inspired by book 4 in Lillianna1125's Phantasm series, Gladius. If you haven't already, go check them out their writing is so fucking good omg-

Trigger warnings: Eret being one smooth mf

Y/N's POV

"I suppose this is it." I turned to my escort and friend, Punz, as he spoke, looking down from the cleft of rock our horses were stationed on. When Dream told us about the Northern Kingdom of Qui Allora, I assumed the city would be built in the mountains. I never for a second assumed it would be on the luscious other side.

Peaks of cream towers poked holes in the skyline, a warm contrast to the cold purity of the white snow we'd rode through for almost two days now. The other side of the mountain looked like someone had cut it from beautiful terrain and simply pasted it into the snowy landscape. It didn't look right, the thick green grass standing out incomparably. I couldn't deny though, it was beautiful.

"It's certainly not what I expected." I breathed a sigh of utter awe, taking in the view. The architecture was almost Greek looking in design, but with pointy, outcropping towers built onto the top of most buildings. The main residential area appeared to have been built in a spiral upwards to the castle which sat atop the peak of a great hill.

"I think you'll agree it's better than expectations would ask. It's nothing like home." The hooded blond tugged on the reins of his horse slightly, drawing back from the edge.

"Dream isn't really too focused on making a place nice rather than defensible." I muttered under my breath. I loved my city, Noctis, I really did, but I wished it was more picturesque. Even L'manberg, the neighbouring city we were at war with; at least took some pride in itself. Matching uniforms and a flag. What did we have, some explosives? In the long run, it would be more useful than camaraderie, but the notion irked me slightly.

I motioned to Punz, and we began our descent. The downward path carved into the mountain side was surprisingly easy to navigate. Clearly someone had spent a lot of time smoothing and adjusting each incline to make journeys easier.

We were here on a mission from our King. The war with L'manberg had been going on many months now, but despite being more skilled, we were outnumbered; unable to gain the upperhand. As the Noctis delegate, I had been sent to Qui Allora as an embass to negotiate with the ruler to request the possibility of aid.
