I was less than 7' away from Asuka now as she tried to shake me off by dashing off to the sides abruptly. Her maneuvers may have gotten another, but not I, for in this form, despite its deceptive appearance of being all ice, my motor skills were at its finest.

I heard Asuka huff impatiently as she stopped and began to swing her staff at me, turning to her left 180° to face me... Too easy.

I, continuing with my forward momentum, held up my left arm to block Asuka's staff and commenced to punch her in the sternum. Normally, I would have punched the gut to wind her, but I needed to damage her physically rather than just wind her. With luck, I may have cracked a bone in her chest, causing an unbearable pain.

Asuka winced in immense pain, the exact cause unknown to me for now, as she was sent backwards with the force of my blow. Asuka skidded against the neatly settled dirt floor and slowed down to a halt 25' feet in front of me.

I couldn't let this opportunity escape so I shot forth in front of me a path of ice towards Asuka and ran onto it, speedily approaching the stirring DH student. I raised my near-diamond-hard right fist and began to bring it down onto Asuka, however, mid-action, Asuka's figure blurred off to my left, leaving me to slam my fist into the ground where her chest would have been.

I felt an impact, not too forceful, but enough to bring some pain, against my left cheek that forced my head to the right, another on my right side forced my head left. I could not make out what was hitting me, but it needed to be stopped.

I raised up my arms to the sides of my head to block the incoming blows from Asuka and shot myself backwards on the path of ice that I had previously made. As I scooted back, I was able to get a full view of the new Asuka.

Her brown-orange hair was now a lighter auburn color and her eyes, a radiating gold. Thin lines of a glowing golden color ran along her face in a sort of soft tribal design.

Asuka didn't say a word as she shot back in towards me with her almost incomprehensible speed, but, I knew the quickest way to end this.

I closed my eyes as my body temperature began to decrease very slightly, small patches of ice began to form around my feet. I could sense Asuka approaching slowly, as if the effects of my body slowed down time itself.

"Absolute Zero..." I whispered to myself.

I flashed open my eyes to meet face-to-face with Asuka, who was now frozen mid-swing with her staff. Her body did not vary from how it originally looked, but over her was a thin, glossy layer of white tinted ice.

The ice used to cover her was not many in terms of quantity, but the quality of it was perfect. The magical capabilities of the ice would keep her alive for now, but anything passed an hour or so in there would deteriorate her motor skills and possibly mental health.

I hope that DH has as good of a medical staff as GATE.

Not many know this, but I was originally born in Hell, a nicer part of it, and was raised as a witch there until 11, when I moved up into Earth with my family, who I would say is surprisingly normal for a family of wizards and witches. This being said, I was exposed to a lot of advanced and complex magics in Hell, one of the strongest that I witnessed being those of the Demon Arts.

Demon Arts magic varies from "normal" magic because of the high level of mastery that is required to maintain its unstable properties. You will find many human wizards and witches, but it is rare to find a demon one. The reasoning for this can be found in the irregularities of a demon's soul that makes it slightly incompatible with most magic.
