Chapter 34: Halloween at GATE

Saturday, October 31st, 2015: 7:06 am

"Oy Ake, wake up," Ginzu called to Ake across their room. An incessant alarm consisting of a classical guitar with a piano and clarinet accompaniment rings throughout the room, coming from Ake's white aPhone atop his night stand.

"Didn't you say you wanted to wake up early today? You said something about running some errands for Takashi, I think..."

Errands?... The sleepy Ake thought to himself as he sat up in his bed.

"The dance!" Ake exclaimed, widening his eyes. He leaped out of bed and darted to the bathroom to get ready.

"You're welcome, hehe..." Ginzu chuckled to himself as he laid back down on his bed, placed his hands under his head, and closed his eyes.

I guess I should probably help him out...

Ginzu got up from his bed and walked over to the kitchen, immediately starting to prepare a simple breakfast of toast, eggs, and bacon. Within a short amount of time, Ake came out of the shower, wrapped in only his pink towel, and made his way over to his closet, picking out a light blue t-shirt, to be worn with a white jacket over it, and a pair of white jeans.

"Thank you for making me breakfast, Ginzu," Ake said lightly as he made his way over to the kitchen. Ginzu fixed a plate of the breakfast and sat down.

"Who said I made it for you?" Ginzu chuckled as he started his breakfast.

"O-...oh..." Ake said. He stood there and hung his head, "I'll just... Leave now then..."

Ginzu stood up and chuckled some more, "I was joking, Ake, the rest is for you."

Ake looked up at Ginzu and smiled lightly, "Oh, thank you Ginzu..."

Ake walked over to the food and prepared himself his own plate.

"Hey, do you still have that invitation, Ake? Shizuo didn't have enough flyers for my class so I figured I'd just get it from you." Ginzu asked Ake.

"You didn't get the email?" Ake asked as he took out his phone.

"No, I don't have an English email, but I'll get around to that and give it to the school later," Ginzu replied.

"Fair enough, I just sent you the invite through text then," Ake said as he did just so.

Attention all GATE students:

You have been invited to attend the annual Halloween dance in the Arena on October 31st, 2015. The party will go from 8pm-1 am (curfew will not apply) and there will be a plenty of activities to partake in (Game booths, caricatures, face painting, etc.)! Costumes are expected and there will be a contest held for them accordingly, Dress code will not be enforced either (yes, no dress code). Hope to see you there!

After a few minutes of eating in silence, Ginzu finished his food and put this things away.

"I didn't get a costume, so I'll be back later, Ake. Hope all goes well with your shopping," Ginzu said, melting into shadow and disappearing. Ake was about to respond, but Ginzu had already left.

Ake left his dorm with just his aPhone and wallet, all he would need for the trip. Ake made his way outside of the school and to the parking lot uninterrupted, where he got into his white Mercedes and started his trip across the island.
