The Arrangements
Chapter 2
After Ivy arrived at the house with her gown and other materials, I was done taking a shower with my favorite plump strawberry body wash and hot water making me ready to face the whole occasion alive. After I was out with the towel wrapped around my body, I saw Ivy sitting on my bed, placing all the makeup material neatly and ready to proceed.
"Let's Start."
After what seemed like an hour, I was done with my makeup and was ready to slip into my dress and wear my accessories. I was never a makeup person. I always travel without putting any makeup on, cause, as off pursuing a dance since a young age, it felt heavy while doing my practices, and I am always used to being told by people that my natural face could pull up the glow itself. So, I was grateful that I didn't have to waste a lot of time doing that as part of the routine.
On the other hand, Ivy was always a makeup person. She applies makeup so perfectly that nobody could pull out the difference between a natural and a makeup look. Makeup is like a passion of hers, knowing how she wants to initiate her own makeup line in the future. 'It always has to be light, comfortable and limited' is what she always quotes when she analyses a person with makeup from afar.
After forty-five minutes, we both are ready with ourselves and were ready to go when we stopped in front of the mirror to analyse our looks one last time.
My dress is of maroon color. It has a half sleeve heart-shaped with a deep cleavage line, under the shoulder with a belt dividing the upper half of the dress from that of the lower one with pockets on each side. The mesial line of the upper half was mending to half-cleaved to reveal my cleavage, the slip just meeting above my belt making it cross overreach the other. Whereas the lower half was flowed freely reaching the end of my feet with a slit on the left side, starting up from my mid-thigh. I paired my dress with golden heals and freed my hair with light curls on the end strands.
On the other hand, Ivy had her hair open a styled in crown shape. Her gown was more of a light blue-sky shade, where her upper half was made with net embroidery tightly fitting to her upper body revealing a little of her cleavage line accompanied by small flowers on some strands of the flowing material of the gown on the lower half, followed by an uppersed run of the material covered by net on the above making it carefree as ever.
