Night Changes.

Chapter 37

"No, Nope, Nada." Ivy says while roaming from one room to another, making me run after her from time to time.

"Whyyy?" I whine, making her stop and look at me with motherly eyes. Lecture cominggg.

"Do you even know what you are asking from me Valarie. You just woke up, you went through something that can even make a person lose their lives, and what? You still want to go to the bloody meeting that Mr. Elijah sent you here for? Impossible. You cry, beg whatever you are NOT GOING." She says and huffs a little at the end, her index finger points at me.

So, this is what's going on. We all went to our own rooms to rest for a while and as I was well-rested beforehand, I just laid on my bed, while Jade was holding me and sleeping beside me like a baby. I know I gave everybody a hard time and I apologized too but that guilt is still there a little. Except for Jade, nobody asked me what happened and I know everybody wanted to by the look on their faces, but one glare from Jade and everybody was silent.

Jade has always been patient with my past and even though things escalated this time, I know he was dying to know what happened after seeing the rage and anger in his eyes. So, I decided that it will be a finished task and that I will tell everyone everything after I come from my meeting tomorrow.

So here I am plastering Ivy to let me go and help me convince everybody to let me go too. Knowing Mr. Elijah has given me one task to comply with, and here I am not making it happen and enjoying this free trip, gives me a chill to be in his black books.

"Okay let's say I allow you. Then what? How will you convince Jade? How will you convince Charlott? You know they both are the hotheads of the group. And then Lucas, do you seriously think you can make him let you go after he blamed himself for the previous incident knowing that there is still a chance of something happening.

And don't get me started on Ethan and Aiden, for the first time I saw the fury and anger in their eyes. Aiden who expresses little to nothing was burning and shouting at the doctor and Ethan who cannot think anything else other than food was busy sitting his ass on the floor for practically two hours without even opening his mouth, looking around for you.

How will you explain each one that huh? I was worried sick about you do you know that?" she says that all in one breath, her eyes pooling with tears again. I could feel my tears rolling down too after hearing. I gave them such a hard time, because of me, everybody had to go through so much and here I am... I look up but before that Ivy hugged me close, my hands instantly hugging her back, soothing her unshed tears.

"I am sorry. I really am. Because of me, you had to go through so much and that's all because of me." I said, my voice cracking and tears spilling down my eyes constantly.

"Shh. I am sorry too. I shouldn't have shouted at you like that. Okay, let's do this. You can talk to them and I will help you okay. It's not that you have to go alone, we can go with you or send bodyguards, okay?" she said rubbing my back soothingly. I just nod and we go down together to the kitchen.
