I Missed You.

Chapter 55

It's the next morning now and everybody is still the same as it was last night. We all are in the same position that we were the last night and from then to now I don't know what to feel anymore. I have come across all the different emotions since I entered this hospital but one of them is heightened in a miserable way than any other.

The pain and fear of losing someone.

I know I haven't lost her yet but this single word is what keeps me hanging in the air with a rope. I feel like I'm standing in the middle of a broken bridge that if I burden myself with my hopes and pleas to wake her with hope, I am going to overbear the limit of the weight and the bridge will fall right under me with my dreams of having her in my arms again.

I didn't sleep last night so when Sarah woke up early in the morning, she insisted that I should go back home and change but she didn't know the fact that since Valarie came into my life, she is the only home I don't want to leave, the place is in her arms that keeps me warm even with my blazing heart, she is home and I am not ready to let her go, not now not ever.

I hear the door opening and instantly I am on my feet running towards the same door to see an exhausted doctor and hands rubbing his face to ruin the look on his face. This is the first time he is out of the emergency room in the past 16 hours and I can't help but release a sigh of relief and also holding my breath in anticipation. I hear shuffling from behind me to see that everybody is standing behind me holding their own breaths.

"She is out of danger for now." And this line made me pray to god in gratefulness, and a lazy smile to see my person again. "But there is more to it." And it made me anxious again.

"As you already know from the nurse, we lost her for a moment and we actually thought that we lost her but the last performed CPR helped us bring her back. She is a fighter I must say. Now onto her injuries is everybody comfortable to listen to it or you would like some privacy, Mr. and Mrs. Frost?" He asks, looking at them and I see Sarah immediately shaking her head.

"We would like to hear about it now, they are all my kids don't worry." She says and we all hold our breaths for the next news to come part.

"Very well then, she has many injuries both external and internal but the main problem was her extended loss of blood, it seems to me like somebody already took a massive amount of blood from her body and then due to her wounds being open for too long some infections lead again to blood loss so that was the main concern of her slipping into unconsciousness and a being a danger threatening condition.

Onto the injuries, her legs being tied for the longest time with something as sharp as cable ties numbed her legs but it won't be a major injury. A lot of rest and she will be alright from that and same with her hands. Onto the major issues, four of her ribs from both right and left are bruised badly and fractured. Due to her head hitting hard on a concrete floor, she suffered from the second-level concession. She had internal bleeding in her abdomen region and many other cuts and bruises out of some, many will leave their scars, I am sorry for that but right now she's on heavy anesthesia so it will take her time to wake up. You are allowed to wait but I am thinking you all need rest now so don't worry, she will be taken the best care of."
