The Fellowship arrived near a lake surrounded by stones. Diana watched as the clouds moved to reveal the moon and the doors. She heard Gandalf yell a bunch of words, but Diana wasn't focused on that. She was focused on trying to calm herself down.

Gandalf pushed at the doors, but they didn't move. She watched as her brother released Bill with Sam. Suddenly a hand touched her shoulder causing her to flinch. She looked up to see Legolas. "Hey, it'll be okay. We'll be right there with you. Nothing bad is going to happen." he whispered and she nodded.

Suddenly Pippin and Merry threw a rock into the water. Aragorn grabbed their arms. "Do not disturb the water." he warned warily.

Frodo suddenly stood up. "It's a riddle. Gandalf what's the elvish word for friend?"

"Mellon," The doors opened. Diana reluctantly stood up and intertwined her hand with Legolas'. He squeezed it reassuringly. "Soon master elf you will enjoy the fable hospitality of the dwarves. Roaring fires, malt beer, ripe meat off the bone!" Gandalf lit his staff, only to reveal bodies scattered around. "This my friend is the home of my cousin Balin. And they call it a mine! A mine!"

"This is no mine, it's a tomb." Boromir gasped. Gimli let out a  anguish scream and the hobbits panicked as they stepped on bones.

Legolas bent down to pull out an arrow. "Goblins!" he spat, dropping it.

"We make for the gap of Rohan. We should never have come here." Boromir said. The men drew their swords and Legolas and Diana notched an arrow and raised their bows. "Artemis! Strider!" Sam yelled.

They turned around to see Frodo had a tentacle wrapped around his ankle and was lifted into the sky. I shot a arrow at the tentacle holding Frodo as he called mine and Aragorn's names.

He and Boromir ran into the water slashing at the tentacles. Legolas shot at the tentacle again at the same time that Boromir cut another tentacle. The two men slashed at the tentacles until the foul creature finally dropped Frodo who landed in my brother's arm.

"Into the mines!" Gandalf ordered. "Legolas! Diana!" Boromir yelled. I shot at the Watcher's mouth before Legolas grabbed my arm and pulled me into the mines. A tentacle hit some rocks and the entrance came crashing down pulling us into darkness.

I started hyperventilating and Legolas let go of my arm, instead intertwining our hands as he rubbed circles on the back of my hand with his thumb. Gandalf lit his staff. "We now have, but one choice. We must face the long dark of Moria. Quietly now. It is a three day journey to the other side." Gandalf said, as we started forward.

After three days stuck in the mind, Diana was beginning to lose her mind. They kept silent and whenever they could catch sleep, one of them would be on guard. When she did sleep she curled up next to Aragorn, for warmth and to stop her from hyperventilating.

The hobbits all slept together, but Gandalf, Legolas, Gimli, and Boromir didn't seem to feel the coldness.

They were climbing up some stairs when she heard Merry scold Pippin. They climbed the rest of the stairs before they faced three pathways.

They built a fire and gathered around it. She curled up next to Aragorn and he put his arm around her waist. "Are we ever going to get out of here, Ari?" she asked.

Aragorn smiled at his sister. "You've been doing great. We only need a little while." he answered. She nodded "About the conversation we had in Rivendell...." he started and she felt tears prick her eyes.

"I'll never blame you. Those types of things happen during births. So don't you dare think I'd hate you for that. I love you and I always will." he said and kissed the top of her head.

"Merry?" Pippin asked. "What?" Merry replied. "I'm hungry." he said. "Pippin come here." Diana said and Pippin obeyed. She dug into her pack and brought out a apple. "Here." she whispered and he ran to rejoin Pippin.

Diana smiled gently at the hobbits. She had grown fond of them as they journeyed. They were so innocent. Suddenly they heard Gandalf say which way it was.

"He's remembered!" cheered Merry. Diana smiled at Merry and he smiled back. "No, but the air doesn't smell so foul down here. If in doubt Meriadoc always follow your nose."

They entered onto a ledge and Gandalf made his staff shine brighter. "Welcome to the great Dwarf kingdom of Moria." Gandalf announced. The whole fellowship looked to be in awe.

They walked down endless halls until Gimli suddenly tore off from the group, ignoring Gandalf's protests. They followed him and entered into a room with a marble tomb. Gandalf read the inscription. "Here lies Balin, son of Fudin. He is dead then. It is as I feared." he said.

Diana knelt down besides Gimli wrapping an arm around in comfort. Gandalf began to read aloud from a book, but Diana focused on comforting Gimli. "We cannot linger here." Legolas whispered. She nodded in response.

They were interrupted from their thoughts by a loud clang. Pippin had knocked over a skeleton along with chains and a bucket making it fall into a well. "Fool of a Took! Throw yourself in next time and rid us of your stupidity!" Gandalf scolded Pippin.

Suddenly they heard drums. Drums in the deep...
