The next morning was uneventful and Diana stayed away from Legolas, deciding to ride next to her brother again. "Diana? Are you listening?" Aragorn asked and she shook her head.

"I'm sorry, what did you say?" she asked and Aragorn sighed. He reached his arm out and helped his sister off of her horse.

"Are you ok, you've been blanking out a lot today?" Aragorn asked. She shook her head. "We almost kissed. Legolas and I." she whispered and his arms tightened around her waist. "No man deserves you." he whispered in her ear.

"I know and I thought that I loved him like a brother, but I don't know anymore." she whispered back and he nodded.

Eowyn came up, with a chestnut stallion. She was eyeing Aragorn much like she was the day before, but he was too deep in his thoughts and didn't pay any attention to her. The Evenstar necklace was hanging loosely around his neck and Eowyn's eyes fell upon it. "Where is she?" she asked.

Aragorn turned to her. "The woman who gave you that jewel." she clarified. His eyes glazed over and continue onward, consumed by his thoughts of presumably Arwen. The lady looked at his sister before glancing at Aragorn. "My lord?"

"She is sailing to the undying lands with all that is left with her kin." came his answer. Gamling and Hama, the guards who had stolen her weapons, rode pass. They disappeared, passing by Legolas who was standing on top of a hill.

Their eyes locked and once again Diana felt herself being captivated by her thoughts as she blushed. Legolas looked away first a slight smile on his lips.

Suddenly there was yelling from where Hama and Gamling were. Aragorn and Diana glanced at each other before both running towards the yelling. "A scout!" Legolas shouted as he pulled his daggers from the orc.

Aragorn reeled around, sprinting back down the hill and into the path of Theoden. "What is it?" the king demanded. "What do you see?

"Wargs!" Aragorn yelled. "We're under attack!" A shout of panic went up amongst the villagers.

"All riders to the head of the column!" Theoden ordered. Legolas and Diana raced to the peak of the hill, where the barking and howling of the Wargs could be heard and seen. She pulled her bow out from her back and nocked an arrow as Legolas took down his first shot. One by one, the wargs and their riders fell.

Aragorn, Theoden, and all of the other riders came riding up the hill. Moonlight came into view and Diana grabbed the reins and heaved herself up and into the saddle. Ahead of her, she could see the elf grasp onto Arod's halter, somehow managing to swing himself up and onto the saddle in front of the dwarf.

Dropping the reins, Diana unsheathed her swords that crisscrossed on her back. A battle cry went up among the men, swords went up, pointed outward, and ready to meet the enemy. The orcs held out their blades and spears ready to slay them.

At one heartbeat, yelling and screaming from both sides. At two heartbeats a head on head collision.

Her blade hungered for warg and the impact nearly made her fall of Moonlight. She jerked her blade out of the warg and managed to move Moonlight from a orc blade as he lunged at her. She thrust her sword right into his throat before pulling it out again.

Legolas fired a number of arrows into the enemy, knocking orcs off their mounts and injuring and killing the wargs. The stench of the blood and of death of both sides was strong.

Diana caught sight of Gimli as he fell backwards and off of Arod, but the dwarf quickly leapt to his feet, growling at a approaching warg. "Bring your pretty face to my axe!" he snarled and she rolled her eyes. "Gimli!" Diana warned as the wolf charged at him.
