She woke up in Legolas's arms. Feeling a hand on her shoulder, she looked up to see Haldir there, a finger on his lips. "Come with me." he whispered and she nodded, slowly leaving the safety and warmth of Legolas's arms.

She placed a soft kiss on his forehead before leaving with Haldir, going to their usual spot, underneath a willow tree.

"You two seem close." were his first words, to which he earned a hum in reply.

"We're not dating. I'm sure he just thinks of me as a younger sister." she finally replied.

"I don't think so. I'll bet you 3 of your arrows that you guys will get together." he said, a smirk growing on his face.

"It's a deal." she smiled, shaking his hand and he put his hand on her shoulder, making her look up at his serious face.

"I'm not going to be as overprotective as Aragorn, but I will be watching out for you. You've always been like a little sister to me whenever we're together. I don't want your heart to be broken."

"Haldir. You're also like an older brother to me and I promise you, it won't grow to be like that." she told him, before being squeezed into a hug as they did their normal routine in the morning.

By the time that dawn had rolled around Diana had her clothes back in tip top shape and she had taken one last bath and now the fellowship had stood at the edge of the river, the boats gently floating beside them.

"My gift for you, Legolas is a bow of the Galadriem, worthy of the skill of our woodland kin, but I cannot give you a gift greater then the one that you hold in your heart." She passed Legolas a bow, her hand lingering on his heart, a knowing smile on her lips as she whispered the last part to him.

She addressed each of the hobbits individually, even giving Gimli a gift. He was awed by the Lady of Light and she gave him a gift that the others could not see.

"I have no gift greater to give than that which you already bear," the elf said, touching Aragorn's necklace while smiling kindly. She continued to talk in elvish, "For her love, I fear the grace of Arwen Evenstar will diminish,"

"I would have her leave these shores and be with her people. I would have her take the ship to Valinor," Diana could feel the heartbreak in her brother and her eyes traveled downward.

"That choice is yet before her. You have your own choice to make, Aragorn. To rise above the height of all your fathers since the days of Elindil, or to fall into darkness with all that is left of your kin," Diana knew that Galadriel was addressing not only Aragorn, but herself as well. Galadriel went back to speaking in elvish, tilting Aragorn's head to meet hers. "We shall not meet again....Elessar,

The lady then turned to Diana and handed her some more healing herbs and a letter. "Here are some of the herbs of Lothlorien, but understand this, Diana, you cannot heal everybody no matter how hard you want to. The letter is a late will of your mother's." she said and tears filled the young girls eyes.

Galadriel bent down to whisper in her ear. "Don't lose him. He'll hold the key to your heart." she stood back up and as she turned around, winked at a blushing Diana. Diana put the healing herbs and stared at the letter uncertainly, before lightly kissing it and tucking it in her bag.

The fellowship boarded the boats and drifted quietly down the river, Lothlorien slowly disappearing behind them. As they paddled downstream taken by the currents, the fellowship felt the darkness on the banks as a bird screamed in fear. Diana took in a breath and exhaled, calming herself.

"The Argonath." Aragorn breathed as they looked up at two huge statues of kings "Long have I desired to look upon the kings of old, mine and Diana's kin.". Diana couldn't keep her eyes off of them, they were huge, looming hundreds of feed above them, until she finally looked away and locked eyes with her brother, she smiled softly at him. She heard Merry and Pippin gasps. They finally reached the banks as the river ended in a waterfall.

They unpacked, before lighting a fire, a bit of foreboding filling the air. "We cross the lake at nightfall. Hide the boats and continue on foot. We approach Mordor from the north." Aragorn told them.

Gimli was talking to Aragorn, but Diana went to the woods staring out at the woods, Legolas beside her. Finally Aragorn came to them. "We should leave now." Legolas said quietly.

"He's right," Diana agreed, nodding her head.

"No. Orcs patrol the eastern shore. We must wait for the cover of darkness." Aragorn said firmly cutting them off. Together Legolas and Diana looked in the woods wearily, before sharing a weary look.

"It is not the eastern shore that worries me. A shadow and a threat has been growing in my mind. Something draws near, I can feel it."

"Something is tracking us, Aragorn. I can feel it." Diana cut in, but before Aragorn could respond, Merry asked something that made their bloods run cold.

"Where is Frodo?" Merry asked. They all look around and Diana notices Boromir's empty spot. "Boromir's missing to." she said.
