~Hogwarts Express~
Lily left Marlene with the boys and made her way down the corridor of the train, "Isabel! Wait up!"
Isabel turned around, "Hi Lil," she said quietly, "You coming too?"
The girls walked side by side towards the end of the train where the toilets were found.
"I just wanted to see if you were okay." Lily spoke, raising an eyebrow, "Why are you putting on your robes now? We have ages left of the journey. And what's up with you and Sirius?"
Isabel sighed, "He ignored me all Summer, Lil. I got really worried about him staying in that hell house. You know what pureblood suprematist families are like: prejudice and cruel." Isabel said, not quite meeting Lily's eyes, "I just wanted to make sure Sirius was safe there. I didn't get one word from him all Summer, apart from his visit."
Lily wrapped an arm around her best friend's shoulder, "I know you were worried about him but he knows how to handle himself. C'mon, Iz, this is Sirius we are talking about. The most confident person alive. Well, maybe except your brother." She joked and laughed faintly.
Isabel felt the corner of her lip move up slightly, "I suppose."
"You know, you should just talk to him. I know Sirius doesn't open up a lot but I think he does around you, he trusts you more than you think. You two don't tell anyone the conversations you have, so I'm just guessing it's about his family. Plus, I'm sure it will be nice for Sirius to talk to someone about whatever his problems are." Lily assures her.
Isabel sighs ," You're right."
"I always am"
"So, how was Italy?"
Isabel always loved the idea of travelling around the world. Especially going to Italy or even America. Try new food. Read new books. Visit the museums. Learn about muggle cultures. Maybe even make new friends.
"The country is so beautiful, Iz, you'd adore it. Definitely my favourite place I've visited. I loved Sicily, especially. Flowers and bookshops and gorgeous food. The only annoying thing was Tuney and her vile boyfriend Vernon, ruining the mood." Lily's nose crinkled when she mentioned her sister and her boyfriend.
Isabel remembers when her,Mary and Marlene entered their dormitory, half way through second year, to find Lily sobbing on her bed, holding a book: Peter Pan.
The inside cover read:
"Happy Birthday, Tiger Lily, I love you lots, don't forget that, -P"
The girls immediately rushed the redheads side and comforted her. "Sh-she gave me t-this book," Lily said between sobs.
"Who did?" Mary asked softly as she brushed some red hair that was stuck to Lily's teary cheeks.
