Seokjin's pov

The sun shone so bright making me squint my eyes to adjust to the surrounding. It was a Sunday, so that means peaceful resting day. I got up from the bed and arranged it neatly before making my way to the bathroom to freshen up. I took a quick shower and was setting my hair when somebody knocked the door.

"Seokjin, I'm going to the church. Will be back at around 9 maybe." Eliza spoke. Her voice sound sleepy yet sweet. She was not a morning person that's something I know for sure.

By the time I got ready and climbed down to the kitchen she had already left. Today I felt so lazy to cook and was contemplating if I should skip breakfast and settle in with a coffee.

My eyes got caught up in the plate set in the counter. It was buttered toast and scrambled eggs. I put on a smile at her sweet concern. She doesn't know to cook but she always try her best to not make me feel burdened with her. She doesn't have to do that though, I really don't mind cooking for her.

The food was simple but it was good. I think she is not giving herself enough credits. After that I went to do some works for the coming classes. It was so tiring. I always thought of doing business. But it was my dad's dream for me to be a professor. He never asked me to do anything for him but this was the only thing he compelled me to do. At first, I protested a lot, then I thought it wouldn't be hard trying. But now it seems I'm liking this job. I can go back to business whenever I feel like quitting. I can take over our company if I wanted to.

I was torn from my thoughts when I heard the front door shut. I knew it must be her so I headed downstairs.

Eliza's pov

It felt so good to visit church after a long time. I'm not much of a church goer, but sometimes I just do. I woke up in the morning and found myself staring at the kitchen. And surprisingly I made breakfast for him. I know right, I made food, I have never made food for anyone not even for Emily or Hannah.

Now I'm back home and was greeted by Seokjin in a white hoodie and sweatpants.

"Hey you are back." He waved before I settled on the couch throwing my phone aside. He sat opposite to me.

"I accidentally woke up early and thought of visiting the church. You know, to know how different it looks from my place." I chuckled. The church in here was huge and a piece of art. I was mesmerized actually.

"Thank you for the food. It was tasty." Did he just compliment me? Wow.

"Woah, I'm over the moon to get a compliment from the one who bests at this." I chuckled but I meant every word I said. My stomach rumbled coz my tummy is hungry. My cheeks tinted pink as I looked at him. I'm embarassed af.

"Didn't you have breakfast?" He asked concerned.

"Nope. I didn't feel hungry then."

"So you made it all just for me?" He asked a glint of happiness and surprise in his eyes. Actually I did make it just for him. I felt like I need to. But I didn't know how to respond to his question. So I just smiled and stood up from the couch stretching my arms.

"Today I have a lot of work to do. I should arrange all the stuffs in the bedroom."

He looked at me for a while before standing up realising he's not going to get an answer from me.

"Can I join you? I have nothing better to do anyways."

"Sure. I would love to have a company." Everything is perfect if you are not alone. I was hoping he would help. Because doing such things alone is really boring. I'm glad he  asked.

"Woah, you got a lot of fairy lights." Seokjin exclaimed seeing the endless loops of lights coiled on the bed and floor.

"I like it when my room's bright. And at night I want the room to have a little light in it, not complete darkness. And also because Jimin's was killing me to buy this one with the flowers." I chuckled remembering how whiny he was last day.

"Jimin?" He frowned.

"He's my friend. I don't know if you remember, you saw us three one day right before your class."

"Yes I remember him." Well that's good. I thought he might have forgotten, coz he was pretty dang serious that day.

"And he's also from South Korea." I added. Since they both are from the same country I thought he should know. "Maybe once everything settles I can make you guys meet up here." I stated thinking how nice it would be for all of us to hang out together without any problems.

"I would love that. I don't really know any Korean people here."

"Aren't you satisfied with my company?" I pouted slightly feeling dejected.

"Aigoo. I'm very much happy that I have you." He cheekily said placing his hands on both side of his cheeks before digging it into his pockets. I blushed at the sight of him acting all cutesy.

"How about we say, hmmm... friends?" He asked with a playful smile on his face.

"Yes friends." I felt so happy to have him as my friend. If he wasn't my professor, he would've been my friend from the first day onwards.

"Yaksok?" He pulled out his hand from his pocket extending his thumb and pinky. I looked at him confusingly.

"I mean, promise?" He chuckled seeing my befuddled expression. I beamed as he said what he meant.

"Yaksok." I pulled out my hand to him as I locked our pinky firmly.
