The calm ripples of the lake and the cool breeze of the wind was soothing like the rhythms of the music. My eyes closed taking in the fresh scent, hands clasped in the warmth of his hands, laying against his chest, the safest place in the world.
He took me out on a date after a long time of endless studies, job applications and workloads. Following our time spent in the movie theatre, we came across a beautiful lake and thought of strolling in here before going back home.
"Show me your smile please." His gentle voice was heard against my ears. I looked up at the camera to smile while he placed a quick kiss on my cheeks taking me aback for a moment.
"You are so cheesy."
"But you still love me." He pinched my cheeks making me giggle at his pouty face.
"Don't we look so cute together?" He cooed showing me his phone.
"Yes we do. But you know who is the cutest?" I asked him making his brows furrowed.
I opened the gallery in my phone and swiped across to the folder of his photos. "There it is", I exclaimed.
"Where did you get it?" His cheeks and ears suddenly burned red seeing the photo. It was a photo of baby Seokjin sipping milk from his bottle. His cheeks were so squishy and drips of milk were seen from the corner of his mouth.
"Taehyung sent me, along with tons of other photos. I didn't know you could be cuter than this. You adorable baby." I started squishing his cheeks speaking in a baby voice.
"Stop it, you are making me.."
"Shy? I know." I squealed seeing his red face. I started showing him his photos that I have in my possession.
"I want to see your pictures too." He pouted.
"I have some. But don't expect to see embarrassing photos in here. No way in hell I would have it in my phone." I showed him some of the photos of mine, Emily's and our childhood photos from home, school and college.
"Awww, you look so adorable. Your dimples were much more squishier then. I wanna poke it so badly." That being said he started poking my dimples making me all tickly and giggly.
"Staahpp ittt." I begged in between my laughs.
"Oh my god, you and Emily looked so much more alike before. How did even Han tell you apart?" He asked seeing a photo of me and Em hand in hand in our school uniform.
"She didn't."
"What?"
"Mhm, we used to prank her everytime. She even was on the verge of ending our friendship getting fed up of the both of us." I laughed remembering Han's angry face.
"Cruel."
"I know. Some even thought of me as Ema and speaks to me like they knew me forever and I purposely mess up with them acting as if I am her. Then the next day she had to make up for all the stupid things I did with them."
"I wish I had a twin." Jin showed his sad face for not getting one.
"Well, who is this? I have seen his pictures in many of them." He enquired.
I looked at my phone to see whom he was talking about and that smile I wore vanished just like that. It was him. All the broken memories that I hoped were mended shattered again.
"He was my friend." I said no longer interested in the topic.
"Was?" He frowned.
Interrupting the moment my phone rang loudly in his hands. 'Mom'. I took the phone from him and attended the call.
"Hey mom."
"Honey, how are you?"
"I'm fine mom. How is everything there?"
"We are all good, sweety. Isn't your graduation coming up? Is everything set there?"
"Yeah mom all's good. When will you two be coming for the graduation?"
"By Friday we will reach there. Saturday we can all meet up after the party."
"Sure mom. And mom? Is dad still, you know?"
"He didn't talk about it after that. You two really need to patch things up."
"Easier said than done." I sighed, me and dad getting back to normal is like a bunny chasing a tiger. Never gonna happen. And things between us is broken beyond mending.
"Where are you? I suppose Seokjin's there?"
"Yes mom he is here. I will call you later then."
"Okay bye Ela." With that I disconnected the call.
"I'm sorry, Jin." I said to him which was meant as an apology for many things actually.
"Why?"
"You know, for not telling mom and dad we are dating. And also for getting you all tangled up in my family drama."
"It is okay Liz. Take your time. Besides I think I can win your mom. With time your dad too." He assured me.
"Dad is not gonna be easy at all. Infact we are on our own if we are gonna wait till his approval."
"Is it that hard? I mean he seems fine with Jenna, given that she is a Canadian."
"Well that's because Evan and Jenna's were an arranged marriage." I told him. Only if our case was that easy.
"What?" He was shooketh.
"Yeah. Let's say their marriage was arranged for the sole purpose of a stupid business expansion. You see, William, Jenna's father and my father were best friends they studied together in their post graduation years. Shits happened and boom this proposal came."
"Was Evan ready?" He was intrigued.
"Not first, obviously. Our parents arranged a date FOR them. Evan was heaven and hell ready to back out. Until he went head over heels for Jenna at first sight."
"Love at first sight, I see." Jin smiled while saying that.
"You can say that. So without any restrictions or problems the wedding happened as it was supposed to."
"Woah I always thought they must have eloped and gained back their parents after Jayden was born."
"Well if you don't have a business to offer to expand, our only option might be eloping." I stated the obvious.
"I don't deny that. I am always ready to elope with you." He smirked as he leaned in closer kissing the corner of my lips sensually.
"But I will get your parents' approval. They won't be able to deny my charm that easily. I'm Kim Seokjin for a reason, love."
"Let's see about that later."
I smiled as his lips touched mine softly then ravished hungrily without leaving any spots untouched, mumbling sweet words in between.
