She walked fast so that no one would spot her.

It was the first time that she had skipped a class.

The events from the previous day were still raw in her memory and she could not concentrate.

There was a narrow corridor that bridged the school block to its yard. No one usually used it.

She sat there and observed the beautiful trees, the shrubs, and the creepers all veiled by a thin layer of soot.

The sunlight tried to pierce the canopy but failed.

The leaves played with the wind and posed as humble hosts to their visitors.

Everything so beautiful standing in its utmost glory.

"Scarlett?" someone summoned from behind. She was startled at first but recognized the familiar voice at once. It was her mentor, Mr. Watson.

"Don't you have a class to attend?" he asked checking his watch.

Scarlett stood there with her head bowed in shame. But she had no will to attend Human World after everything that was going on.

Mr. Watson surely understood it yet he directed her to go back to her class and reminded "we have our Anthrop visit next week." She sighed and nodded her head.

She had yet to learn that no matter what, life has to go on.
