Doctor Brian stared at Marley, an unrecognizable glint in his eyes as he smirked.

Marley felt sick to her stomach. She pitifully mumbled, "I got lost when I went to the bathroom?"

"Is that so?" The man asked, completely mocking her as he looked around the hallway. He look his chance motioning her forward, and since Marley knew she was caught, she walked forward.

He grabbed her arm, enough to leave red marks on her wrists. "How about we take a tour towards the Alpha Office?"

Marley bared her teeth when he yanked her to follow, helpless glancing down the hallway. She knew she would have to try again soon, but she just didn't know what Alpha Joey would do when he found out she was sneaking around the building— extremely close to his unconscious parents.

Marley was worried about Layla's reaction. Marley gulped, glancing towards Doctor Brian, "Can we make a deal?" The last thing Marley wanted to do was put Layla in a bad position, and she would do anything to help her mate out.

"Carry on," Doctor Brian spoke, pausing in the hallway, ready to hear her out.

Marley took a deep breath, ready to play the game she needed play. All she knew was not to give her own information away, and the small little fact was all she needed and had.

"I found the phone records."

He froze, glaring down at Marley.

"If you erase them, Alpha Joey will wonder what happened to them," Marley added, trapping the male wolf in a corner, where he couldn't escape. "So we both know something that the other wants to be silent."

"Very well," Doctor Brian hissed out, pushing Marley away as he left. His glare made Marley smirk in victory instead of shiver in fear.

Marley glanced down at her wrists, focusing all her concentration. She groaned when nothing happened, "It will come in any day now. Yeah right." She shoved her sleeves to the point it was caught in her clinched fists as she walked down the hallways.

Marley felt more useless than before.

She walked helplessly around the hospital, trying to find her way towards Layla and Gabby— assuming they hadn't started a search party for her.

"Marley!" Layla yelled when she walked around the corner. The Head Doctor debated if she should smile at her mate or start scorning her. Clearly, Marley was no where knew the bathroom Layla had left her neared, and Marley was towards the back of the hospital where only certain doctors and warriors could go.

Gabby came around the bend.

Layla shook her head, "Where have you been? Gabby and I have been searching the entire hospital for you."

Gabby looked down at her watch, "For the last, like, two minutes."

The Doctor growled, warning the nurse to stay quiet.

"I, uh. I must have took a wrong turn," Marley whispered, pushing herself closer to her mate. Her face started to turn red under the investigation of her mate, but she kept her breathing under control as Layla wrapped her arms around her even more.

Marley didn't know how long she could keep Doctor Brian quiet, but she knew she couldn't keep up her lying to her mate anymore.

Her wolf was pushing her to tell Layla and Gabby the truth, but it wasn't just her secret to tell.

Gabby raised an eyebrow. "Well, we found her, and now, Layla, you can go do something," she hinted, staring directly at Marley.

"Go do what?" Marley asked, flashy her gaze between Gabby and Layla.

Layla kissed her cheek, "Gabby offered to collect some of my things to take to her house while we do something special."

Marley smiled at the thought, happy to spend some time alone with her mate. Not that she didn't enjoy Gabby's company, but she would absolutely pick Layla over Gabby every single time. "What will we be doing?" Marley asked, almost bouncing on the balls of her feet.

Gabby and Layla spoke at the same time, answering Marley's question.

"Something fun."

"Probably mating."

Marley's face flushed into a even brighter red than imaginable as the two women started to laugh. Layla's laughter made Marley blush even more, and her eyes snapped towards her mate's lips.

Gabby was laughing hard enough she stared to snort, leaning her body weight against the wall. "You should had seen your face," Gabby cried out, wheezing as she struggled to breath. She hit her hand against the wall, "And I bet you started to think about it too!"

Layla whispered huskily in her ear, her wolf taking over for a moment, "I sure did."

Marley bit her lip, "That's... that's cool."

Gabby shook with even more laughter. She took a deep breath, "Would you two just go? Please, I'm going to have an asthma attack."

Layla rolled her eyes at her friend, and Gabby responded with sticking her tongue out. "Please," Layla spoke, walking past with Marley at her hip, "do not destroy my house."

"Please," Gabby joked, "do not get each other pregnant." The nurse paused, rubbing her chin as she thought for a moment, "Although, it would be cute to see a little Marley running around."

"Why am I friends with you again?"

Gabby smirked.

Marley giggled, "Noticed how she didn't say a little Layla running around."

The Doctor glanced between the two, a frown on her lips. She shook her head, "You two have been spending way to much time together."

Gabby shrugged, "Marley is my new best friend. What did you expect?"

Not going to lie, I felt like I was just wasting time with this chapter— you know? I felt like it had some importance to it, but this is not my favorite chapter in this story.

Oh, well. I'll make the next one better.
