If any of the information doesn't line up like names or physical characteristics, just shoot a comment. I was kinda too lazy to read back through the chapters because that takes time and my free time in currently nonexistent and forced at the moment.
Here is another chapter.
"You're an Alpha," Alpha Joey stated when Marley returned from shifting. The woman that once reminded him of an Omega stood tall and proud as she raised an eyebrow. Marley must had forgotten that these wolves didn't know her bloodlines, only the outer shell that didn't reflect her insides. She didn't give another thought about her rank when she escaped.
The two stared at each other, unfamiliarity the new alpha presence around them. Alpha Joey sighed, "I'm assuming you knew those rogues or recognized them." It didn't take a genius to put the connection together. Alpha typically stayed with their packs, and asked for permission before traveling or settling in other territories. Usually, Alpha Joey punished this trespassers harshly, taking the safety and security of his pack members as a strong foundation in the pack, but Marley came over because she was endangered.
It was rare to see high ranked wolves running, but Marley was at the mere age of eighteen. If the heir of an Alpha was in great danger, the pack woke duty is to protect them. This allows the pack members still loyal to the family not to be control by the over-pressing rogues who have taken over.
"They took over my family's pack," Marley answered, nodding her head as she glanced behind her. The faint Beta wolf she took out was being dragged by some pack warriors, and. Marley hoped that Layla's Alpha would be merciless when dealing with him. "We are very small, and it is easily to be overthrown if we stop working out our problems in a smart way," Marley filled in the gap, and sense telling her to inform her friend in a time of crises.
Joey nodded his head, but his attention was quickly taken off of Marley and to his mate. Denice had a worry expression over her facial features as she cane forward. She gave Marley a sad look as she took a deep breath and accepted her Luna position, "Some of the guards had to lock Layla up."
Marley quickly snarled, angered at how her mate, her lovely and protected mate was in a dungeon. She didn't know exactly how Alpha Joey ran his packs, but being locked up in a dungeon was not something she wanted her mate to experience, ever. Marley rather go back to the rogues than allow her mate to be trapped in darkness.
*•*•*•*
Layla didn't care that Gabby said Denice was getting it under control. It didn't matter if someone was trying to get Marley kicked out because Alpha Joey wouldn't allow the poor girl to be punished for something she had no control over.
Did they not see is scared she was? Has nobody noticed how Marley's wolf was acting correctly and healing the injuries? How dare they even mention something like this out loud?
It was no surprised to Gabby when Layla slipped through her grasp, and the Head Doctor's wolf attacked someone who had posed a threat to Marley. The male doctor, John Michel. Layla always had a nasty feeling about him. Maybe it was because of his hate towards different sexualities or maybe it was because he was simple an overgrown poodle that acted like a cocky wolf, but Layla hated his guts.
It was pointless to fight when Layla was grabbed, but her and her own wolf refused to let her own pack hurt her mate— even if Marley caused everyone their ultimate doom. As long as her little mate was safe, Layla would be happy, even if that meant being in jail for the rest of her life.
Now, as Layla sat in the cell, shivering with anger and worry, she stared at Gabby. She pouted her lip, "I'm fine, Gabs. Please, go find Marley and make sure she's ok."
Gabby glanced at the door, torn in what to do. Layla was her best friend, and she wouldn't abandon her. Yet, Marley could use someone as she is all alone in a pack that could very well be turbin against her. In the end, Gabby stayed planted, having orders from the Luna to stay with Layla.
Gabby gave her best friend a guilty look, "I can't. Denise said she would take care of it." Layla held back a growl as she started to pace, narrowing her eyes around in the empty cells around her.
When the large doors snapped opened, her eyes widen at the man being dragged in. She could tell that the body was forced to shift back into human form, and she could also tell that she had seen this man before.
The same night she meet her mate.
She snarled, shocking on of the warriors who tossed the rogue into the cell. Gabby looked terrified as she glanced between the rogue and Layla. The presence of rogues had always scared her and having her best friend acting completely animalistic, she was stuck between a rock and a hard place.
"What's wrong?" Gabby asked, staring harshly at the rogue who was unable to move a muscle.
Layla answered darkly, "He was the rogue wolf who chased Marley over here."
