Marley stood face to face with the Doctor, swallowing as she watched her mate's lips turn upwards. She blushed, trying to step back, but Layla held her close to her.

"Your eyes are special." Surprising Marley, the Doctor planted a small kiss by her mate's eyes. "Your nose is special." She kissed her nose, making Marley shiver at the contact.

"Your ears, your hair, your jaw, your neck, your cheeks— should I go on, Marls?" Layla whispered, breathing heavenly as she lowered her lips to her mate's ear. "I could go all day," she hummed, watching as her mate's cheeks became more red.

Marley shook her head, her body leaning towards the touch of her mate. She smiled, holding back tears from falling out of her eyes. It's been a while since someone was like that to her, and those nightmares of her past were slowly fading away from her thoughts.

Layla chuckled, "Even your inabilities to make decisions is special. By the way, I'm making you both." She wrapped her arms around her mate's waist, smelling her hair and neck. "Or have you made a choice?" Layla leaned closer, daring herself to close the distance as they spoke.

Marley shook her head. "But I won't be able to eat two sandwichs." Layla smiled, a smirk playing on her lips as she shook her head.

Layla kissed below her earlobe. "I'll just do half and half. It's simply really." She pulled away, turning to the fridge to get the jelly, mustard, ham, and anything else she could think of. "I'm just happy I only have strawberry jam." She chuckled, joking as she turned around to watch her mate's reaction.

Marley broke into a grin, whispering softly, "I like strawberry jam." Layla heard her perfectly, even though she barley mumbled it. Marley sighed, moving to sit in a kitchen chair as she waited. "Make sure you make one for yourself." She spoke louder, trying to be authoritative. After all, it was in her blood or she thought it still was. She really didn't remember much of her childhood anymore, but as she was away from her tormenters, she hoped she would slowly start getting more memories— hopefully happy ones.

"Of course," Layla kissed her cheek on more time. "Go sit down at the table," she motioned her mate to go sit in on of the four chairs. "Your sandwich will be done soon," she chuckled, "as will mine."

Marley actually shook her head before walking to the table, careful of her ankle as she sat down. At this point, she felt like she didn't even need to cast, but Layla made it clear that she would not be taking it off till later.

When Layla was done, she brought her mate two slices of a sandwich. She gave her another kiss, and slid the chair closer before sitting down. She carefully watched as Marley started to eat, and she ignored her phone buzzing in the other room.

By the ringtone, she knew it was Gabby calling her. She glanced towards her phone before looking back at her mate, who was too engrossed with her sandwich to notice. She smiled to herself, happy that her mate liked her sandwich. "I'll be right back, ok?" Marley glanced up, her eyes sight following her across the room.

Nodding her head, Marley watched her mate walk away. She took another bit of her sandwich before sitting it down on the table. She wanted to eat more, but every time her mouth got a taste, she was pulled back into the past that she could remember. She grimaced before shaking it off, reassuring herself that nobody could touch her, and even if they did, Layla was a doctor. Layla would save her, just like she did when she was escaping.

Layla grabbed her phone, putting it to her ear as she exhaled. She would rather want a day all alone with her mate, but apparently in this pack, it was too much to ask for. Instead of complaining, she got to work, knowing that a day like that would come up.

"Layla?" Gabby's voice came through the phone. Layla could already tell it wasn't going to be pleasant news. "You need to come back. There were rogues spotted, and they attacked some patrollers and some pups. We need more doctors!" In the background, alarms were barring and nurses and doctors were yelling orders. She heard pack members crying as she tried to reach their love ones.

"I'm on my way," Layla spoke, quickly ending the call. When she turned around, Marley was leaning against the door frame to get into the kitchen. Layla gave her a small smile, "Something came up, and I need to leave." Marley's face dropped, but she nodded. Layla took a deep breath, not ready to leave. "I'll be right back, Love. Make yourself at home." The Doctor sprinted out of the house, leaving Marley alone.

Marley came to the window, watching as Layla speeded away as fast as she could. The screeching of the wheels still could be heard when she disappeared through the trees. She looked around the house again, still fascinated with the inner home design. Quietly as she could, she went up stairs, seeing more and more pictures as she walked.

She couldn't help but frown when she saw a picture with the Luna and the Doctor. She held each other close, holding hands as they stared into each other's eyes. She felt her chess rumble before she shook her head, climbing up more and more stairs. The upstairs was decorated to match the downstairs, and it was somewhat satisfying to Marley as she explored.

All the doors upstairs were closed, and some where even locked. Marley assumed they were for work, wanting to protect her patient's information if someone was to ever break into her house. Marley also hoped that she wasn't hiding any dead bodies in her closet. She also wondered if Layla would get mad at her for looking around or maybe for seeing something she shouldn't had.
