Despite Gabby's pleads, only Marley and Layla went to the Pack House - the lone nurse went to the Pack Hospital, where extra hands were desperately needed.

The Pack House lacked the enthusiastic lifestyle as many pack members still cried for their lost ones. Many eyes widen at the two, only hearing rumors that Marley and Gabby were up. Those whisperers were founded true when Gabby was spotted working at the hospital and Marley with Layla at the Pack House.

Layla pulled Marley up the stairs, nodding her head to her pack members. She held her mate's hand as she headed towards the Alpha's Office. The Head Doctor had a feeling there was a very critical meeting going on, and she had no right being here when she was supposed to be working.

She knocked on the door.

"Come in," Alpha Joey's voice was heard clearly through the door, despite a large conversation being silence by it. Layla carefully opened the door, and Marley quickly stepped inside.

Marley was standing before a large group of Alphas, Lunas, and Betas. She noticed how Luna Denice and Hannah were excluded, but she did fall to see why Luna Hannah's mate, who wore the same mark around his neck as Hannah, had a woman beside him - a woman that was far too close.

She bowed her head, but she didn't lower her eyes. "I'm Marley, the next Alpha of the Healing Moon Pack," she greeted, "and I would like to thank you for coming to my pack's aid."

Layla's eyes went wide with how professional Marley was behaving. The eighteen year old stood proudly before turning to Alpha Joey, "I think it would be best for me to explain somethings and for me to interrogate the Beta wolf who attacked me."

"We are not allowing a child to participate in this meeting, pup," Luna Hannah's mate snapped, baring his teeth.

Alpha Joey rubbed his face from the stress, clearly showing that Alpha Tyler had been speaking like this for while now. "Alpha Tyler, this is Marley Moon, the she-wolf we found. If anything, this child has our only insights inside the territory."

Alpha Tyler shook his head, about to speak, but the woman beside him but her hand on his shoulder with a warm smile on her face.

Marley started to figure out why Hannah may or may not trust her own mate. It was clear. He was having an affair, and at this point, Marley knew everyone already knew the truth.

"I understand," Alpha Joey looked at the two, "that a lot has happened, but Layla we need you at the hospital."

The two looked at each other, but ultimately they knew what they needed to do. "I'll be back as soon as I can, ok?" Layla hugged her mate, whispering in her ear before kissing her cheek.

Layla expected a year off of working after this war.

Marley nodded her head, and Layla was flabbergasted when Marley kissed her cheek, "Ok."

When the door clicked shut from the Head Doctor leaving, Marley looked around the table for a spot to sit at.

Beta Roger smiled at her, "There's a chair here, Alpha Marley."

Marley's wolf beamed with pride when she had the title of Alpha, and she carefully sat down. She noticed how every member sitting at the table were dressed up for a business meeting.

Marley was wearing tank top and shorts - and after the walk, she started showing her pack's mark on the upper part of her breast. Her blond hair covered it for the most part, but when she moved her head right, the whole world seemed to noticed.

A Luna leaned forward, introducing herself, "Alpha Marley, I'm Luna Katrine, of the Rising Eclipse Pack. What are the statistics of the Healing Moon Pack?"

Marley sat up straighter, causing some of the other high ranks to smile, "The Healing Moon Pack has two hundred... and forty nine members. Most of them are older and have strong healing abilities. Out of the total, about fifty have not discovered their abilities. Those are mostly the younger ages."

Alpha Joey put a hand on her back, chuckling softly, "No need to be so ridged, Alpha Marley. Speak to us as if you are speaking to your own pack - you don't have to prove anything to us."

Luna Katrina smiled, nodding her head. "Alpha Joey is right, Alpha Marley." Marley gave her a grateful nod as the Luna asked the next question, "What are the odds of them healing the rogues?"

"Very high," Marley answered, taking a deep breath to calm her nerves, "the rogues are threatening with the children of the pack."

The end of the meeting arrived later than expected. At the end, a few came up to say goodbye to Marley - Luna Katrina being one of them.

Three remained at the end: Marley, Joey, and Roger.

"Alpha Joey, I have something that concerns you," Marley shifted her balance. She glanced at Beta Roger, "It's kinda personal, so I don't know if you want company, but if you do that's completely fine."

Beta Roger shook his head, "This seems like a private matter I don't belong in." He said his goodbyes, mentioning he would be helping the packs train together before leaving. Alpha Joey nodded his head, thankful that he didn't have to kick his beta out himself.

"Well," Alpha Joey cleared his thought, "take a seat."

The two Alphas sat down, both somehow equally nerves for the situation.

"This isn't about Layla and Denice, is it?"

Marley shook her head, not fully understanding her mate's situation with the Luna, but she wouldn't push into it - especially after how she kept Layla in the dark.

"It's actually about your parents, Alpha Joey," Marley began.

Joey nodded, "Yes, we really do need to speak about that. I apologize about the court meeting. If I had known what Jasmine was up to, we wouldn't be in this situation."

"Jasmine has done more than you know," Marley nodded her head, agreeing with her older cousin. "She was there at the rogue attack, and, well, could be the reason why your parents are in a coma."

Alpha Joey's wolf flashed in his eyes for a moment, but the wolf ready itself for the next information. They both needed to stay calm, to gain information before setting hell loose.

"Your mother, Cecilia, is an Alpha - not just a Luna."

Marley and Layla have each other a kiss on the cheek - isn't cute? I wonder when their first kiss will be (if I haven't I haven't write it, and somehow forgot about it...)

Thank you to everyone who is reading! I really appreciate it!
